whoohoo for ballet!
so a couple of days ago we got our first day off from school, due to snow, and everyone was happy. except for me. i was behind in my classes. i got over it.
few days later, i get to school and i smell gasoline permeating the hallways. i was cool with it, i didnt mind, but everyone else was like " i feel sick" and " can we go home?" and "this is endangering our health" and whatnot. ridiculous.so they sent us home. that has never happened to my school before, sending us home in the middle of the day. at least not in my time.and i knew from that point that the day was going to suck. i ended up going to rollhaven and freezing my ass off. then i went with sean to go get hot chocolate at the brown sugar cafe in flint. we played chess, he won, but barely.
days go by, and it comes to yesterday. yesterday was a bad day. it was bad by 6th hour, and even worse after school. 6th hour was yearbook and im gettin pissed off at some of the staff. the captions for the pictures are just crap on some of the pages i had high expectations for. after school, i went to the drama meeting and voted for the awards for outstanding performance and tech. found out soon after that the musical we were going to do is school house rock. maximum cast of 12. i started to bawl. i dont do well at musicals. there are too many people that are better singers than i am. and i usually always choke in audition. maybe im just being a pussy about it. i did ok at thespian conference, so i have a bit of hope. at least for a monologue. it'll be harder to find a song, considering im not in a choir class anymore. i havent sang in a long time. im pretty sure my voice isnt too good right now.oh well, ill deal with it when it comes to it.
went to go see laurens ballet tonight. it was called camelot. i forgot how much i missed all of my Blue Lake friends. tonight was the first time i had actually seen her dance. shes really good. she played morgan le fay.it was cool.i should go see ballets more often. the sound and lights guy was ticking me off though, they kept on screwing up their cues royaly. ah well, it musta been his first gig or something.
i am off to hibernate for the night until i have to parade around in a kangaroo suit for 6 hours tomorrow. what fun....gawd i hate that thing.
