So. My laptop has been in working shape again since Valentine's Day. That power cord we ordered was the best present ever. Okay, maybe chocolate ties. I ate all of it, though...
FUNNY STORY. The day after my computer died, my aunt (who is as old as my grandmother, yes I know my family is old, whatever) got really sick after a surgery. To make things short, we visited her in the hospital and were told she had 24 hours. Which, okay, sucks, but life doesn't go on forever. I understand this, and though it's sad, I'm not dwelling on it. She's had a long, hard life, but there's been a lot of good in it, too. So I would call it a success. And if God calls her home, then who are we to argue with that? She's in pain here. It's not fair to keep her out of selfishness.
Anyway. The next morning she was doing so much better. Still kind of out of it, but rather chatty. However, I am not convinced she is completely clueless about what's going on, nor am I convinced she knows every detail. I think she's in both worlds, just hanging on for something we don't know about just yet.
This is getting long, sorry! Right now, she's in a hospice, but they feed their residents there, so it gave me really good vibes, as weird as that may sound. And the nurses were kind to not only my aunt, but the rest of the family, so bonus points to them.
Now we're all playing the waiting game. She could slip away at any moment or surprise us all and hang on for weeks, like her sister who passed away last year did. Human life is amazing, that's all I can say.
But all in all, things are relatively back to normal. Not that I update this thing very much anyway, lol. Such is my lj life.
