The Name Among Names
I am at ComicCon. While sitting at dinner tonight with guest_age, my heart stopped as Stan Lee walked in and sat down two tables away. So I got up, walked over, thanked him for the last fifty years of amazing heroes that have changed the world and asked if I could I could buy him a drink. He took my hand and held it and said told me there are amazing things to come and that I made his night. He ordered a screwdriver. I have the receipt. As he was leaving, he stopped at my table and I said it was an honor to meet him. He said it was a pleasure to meet me. I asked for an autograph and he said that he thought I would never ask. He signed the back of the receipt for the drink I bought him. This happened. In real life. I just. Stan Lee. In a teeny tiny way, I got to give him something back. It's possibly one of my life highlights. I just wanted to share.
