Fairytales and Folktales
There's been some emergency family stuff lately, so I haven't had much time to read, let alone post on LJ. However, the story I'm writing is coming to the part where I need to do some more research, and while I've been doing some specific research, I'm looking now for more general information for worldbuilding.
What I would like are recommendations for books, magazines, or individual stories of fairytales, folktales (preferred with a magical element), and mythology from all over the world. I know European (eastern as well as Britain) the best, so the first request is for stories from other places and cultures. However, I'll take everything. (At this point I'll only be able to read things that are free online, but in a week or so I'll have library access again.)
