homecoming draws near....

So today was pretty cool, especially for a Tuesday. I stayed after school to tutor some kid in Geometry, which was totally useless because it's been two years since I've taken Geometry and I don't remember anything... at all. But hey, I tried, and I guess that's what counts. I'm seriously the worst tutor EVER- I just tell them what to do and what the answer is basically. I can't explain what I do... even though I get it. Whatever.

Amy walked to Clay's house with me after I tutored. It was nice. The weather was awesome, like yesterday. Who woulda thought October would come in with temps in the eighties? Speaking of the eighties, today was decades day (that was my decade). I had mismatched hoop earrings, an attempted oversized sweatshirt, and an old dance clinic shirt to change into, in addition to my 'roos. The old dance clinic shirt was from the 80's clinic, so it had "awesome 80's" on the left sleeve.

But floatbuilding was fun... our float kicks ass (as usual... haha). The HC theme is "hollywood," and our movie is "Titanic." We have the boat sticking out of the left side of the flatbed and on the right we'll have the orchestra playing "my Heart Will Go On" against an oceanic backdrop. Since the float kinda goes in chronological order from right to left (the right having Taylor Roby singing on the truck bed, with the iceberg), the part with the orchestra has the bow of the boat sticking off of the edge. The part with the boat 1/2way in the water has a window that is 1/2 full with water... it's pretty funny. then someone will be laying on the boat deck (their upper body being through a hole and the lower being stuffed pants actually lying on the boat deck, which is made of some thin wood). To finalize it, we have waves on the front of the flatbed (when facing it) that read "'Sink' the Colonels... Class of '08." It's pretty sweet.

And then I got home around 5:40, did some hw, ate dinner, and am doing the remainder of my hw. Life is gooooood.
