So... I LIVE for spring! High of 75 today, sunny and warm with a comfortable breeze, and little to no clouds in the sky.
I had a great day. First period, kicked the crap out of a math test (knock on wood). Second, our group won the FDR case... go defense team!! Third... well we had a quiz but worked in groups so that was cool. Fourth, we got to laugh at some of 6th period's crappy or decent synthesis essays. Fifth, well the Truman trial was boring but whatever. It was a free class. Sixth, I love what we're doing in art! The past two days we've been drawing 8 different self-portraits with charcoal and today we picked one and are making it like 8 times bigger than the original. I got sooo into it. I decided last year charcoal is my drug when it comes to art mediums.
And then right after school I took the English extra credit test for "Invisible Man" which I didn't think was too bad.
Got home, ran upstairs, threw on my string bikini, and laid out//practiced ditties for dance. There's something about the sun that just makes me want to sweat my ass off. Maybe because it's inevitable that I sweat anyways. Or that the sun puts me in a good mood, which motivates me to exercise.
You make me feel so young... you make me feel like spring has sprung!
Then I cooked dinner for the family: Sausage tortellini with a tomato-based sauce, asparagus, and a side salad. My dad's dieting and I like eating healthy anyways.
After dinner, my parents went to visit my grandmother at the Atria at Springdale, so I took Asia out for a walk. Unfortunately, I didn't fully secure her lead and she got out within the first 30 seconds of our walk. With the help of neighbors, I had her back at the house within 5 minutes.
I decided maybe I wasn't meant to take Asia on a walk this evening. Instead, I kenneled her and then did a walk/run for 25 or so minutes. It felt amazing. I mean, exercise stimulates endorphine production, and endorphines make you happy. I came home feeling refreshed and so... alive.
Not so mention... I looked in the mirror and saw some freckles surfacing across my nose! Yay! (I used to have very distinct freckles as a kid, but they sort of faded with time, so I like seeing them attempt to come back.)
