Long time overdue
It's been a while since I updated this thing.
Work is slightly kicking my ass. It's frosh week with classes starting next week. Which means that work is Insane. I did 1.5 times my usual weekly hour this week with more of the same next week. I miss sailing, I'm missing two races with
kiwano's race crew, to deal with work stuff.
I'm doing my usual every 6 week O/S upgrade at home. (le sigh, 45 minutes + various hiccups in the process)
I'm finally back to using the library again: borrowed books on writing, EMACS, origami, as well as Asimov's Foundation trilogy. It'll be a nice break from staring at a computer screen all day, even if one of the books is how to use the computer more efficiently.
Popcorn for dinner, but then again I had a 3 hour nap this afternoon so I wasn't in the best mood for proper grocery shopping. I was out waaaay too late last night with the Archery folks at the Duke of York.
Got msn working again, and rebuilt my contact list. Heard from an old friend I haven't talked to in a long while.
Replaced most of the light bulbs in the apartment with compact fluorescents to save power. I'm not a huge fan of the spectrum but they feel brighter and whiter. they just lack a warmth that incandescents do. I'll thank myself when the next power bill arrives, although it'll be the first one since the building installed the Air Con unit in the apartment.
Signed up for swimming lessons this fall. I was splashing about in my archery coach's pool and I realized that I wasn't as comfortable or skillful in the water as I oughta be, especially given the possibility of falling off Candy Cane. Add one more to the list of many leisure activities I do.
Finally got a hair cut. so I'm not nearly as shaggy as my avatar. Tomorrow I will laze about, read, and probably prune my computer files so as to free up some space.
