Getting the Lead Out, again
We've decided to have the inside of the house deleaded, since we have the money, the estimate is in line with what we expected to pay, and it will be worth it for us to have the peace of mind. We'll do the inside work but not the outside (including the basement).
Now to schedule and figure out what's involved in the prep. If we have to pack some things up I am hoping it is not too expensive to rent those plastic stackable crates.
And then to figure out where to put ourselves while they do the work, since we'll need to be living elsewhere. Here's hoping we can stay at Brian's company apartment! It has a swanky riverside view (in Cronin's Landing) so it would be a local staycation of sorts. Or something. Our cats would come with us and the bunnies would stay elsewhere with a friend.
None of the other contractors have gotten back to us still, by the way. Oxford called last week and apologized for blowing us off and was supposed to call Tuesday morning to schedule something for that day but we heard nothing. The contractor we have talked to had good Angie's List reviews and was recommended by our inspector, so that's got to count for something.
