book list

i just needed to make a list of the ridiculous amount of books i had to read this semester (keep in mind my major is math-related so reading is not exactly top on my list) before getting rid of them:

*A Shopkeeper's Millennium by Paul E. Johnson*
*Creating an American Culture, 1775-1800 (A Brief History with Documents) by Eve Kornfeld (my History Prof.)*
*Homo Faber by Max Frisch*
*Death in Venice by Thomas Mann*
*Symposium and Phaedrus by Plato*
*Margaret Fuller by Eve Kornfeld*
*Antigone by Sophocles (in a book that also has the Oedipus plays)* <--keeping it
*Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert* <--keeping it, my aunt would like it
*Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison* <--keeping it because i loved it
*Copenhagen by Michael Frayn* <--keeping
also excerpt in my course reader..
poems by Wilfred Owen, Sappho, William Yeats, an excerpt "On the Quai at Smyrna" by Ernest Hemmingway, the Homeric Hymns and
*Some Other, Better Otto by Deborah Eisenberg*

i feel accomplished!! this also does not include various text books and a horrible book i had to buy for history called "America's Polyphonic Past" which i can't sell because it was made specifically for my class and has lecture notes and just a crap load of documents like the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, really boring essays about colonial America and several chapters of Uncle Tom's Cabin but not the whole thing. lame.

the end!
