The past couple days have been quite fun believe it or not. It seems that time is going by faster than I thought it would but I still would like it to go faster. Tom-let's just fast forward to next week! I suppose we could stop at Christmas and then fast forward to Friday hehe. I wish you could do that. But really--next week come quickly!!
So Tuesday my mom and I did crazy amounts of Christmas shopping. I was pleased with what I got people. The weirdest part about this Christmas is that my mom is making me pick out all my own gifts from "Santa". No surprise at Christmas morning this year. That is kind of sad. Then my mom and I ate Chinese at the food court: BAD DECISION! Yeah I totally got sick from that Chinese food. But of course I'll keep eating there because I love Chinese food too much. Then I felt better and my brother and I decided to go to my high school's band/chorus concert. It was a long one but I was glad that I went. It was cool seeing who's principal saxophone now and how much he improved since last year. So cute. The chorus did a horrendous arrangement of O Come, O Come Emmanuel. That song DOES NOT need a new arrangement. Gosh. Traditional is best sometimes. But overall it was a great show and I got to see a couple old teachers and talk to my favorite band teacher again.
Then yesterday was quite exciting! EMILY!! Emily and I hung out all day yesterday. I hadn't seen her since August since she goes to school so far away. It was just like old times. We haven't changed a bit. Except she said my hair looked different and that she wouldn't be able to get used to it. Huh. It really doesn't look that different. Oh well. Then we had to go AN HOUR EARLY to my sister's Christmas pageant (the Christmas pageant is a HUGE deal at my sister's school--fancy costumes and the picking of the parts is considered very seriously) in order to get front row seats since my sister was Mary this year. :) Yep and guess what. We didn't even get front row seats. That's how crazy these ridiculous parents are. I could see fine. No big deal. Anyway. In the extra hour that we had my brother, Emily, and I went to visit some of our old elementary school teachers. It was just awkward conversation because we could tell from the start that she didn't really recognize us. Hehe. Oh well. The pageant was very good. My sister was an adorable Mary and so excited to be holding the cutest little newborn baby. The pageant was a success. Afterward, I had to drive Emily home (she lives like a half hour away) and first we stopped for ice cream (which we spilled in my car ooops) and then I drove her home. Today she has oral surgery. Poor dear. She was nervous. I won't see her again til next week. Next week Tom comes to New York!! Fast forward to then please!!
