Dan woke up this morning very disappointed. He didn't know why, and that rather annoyed him. So he started walking around his town in hopes of finding out why he was so disappointed. Eventually, he came across a homeless man with a sign that said "The End is Near". He had seen this sign yesterday, and was relieved to find out that the end wasn't as near as he had thought. He continued walking, still rather disappointed, but not sure why. The next thing he knew, he found a new coffee shop that was filled with living flowers and photographs and book trading centers and was playing Tito Puente. This was extremely exciting to Dan, who promptly bought some of the best coffee he'd ever tasted. As he was drinking his coffee, a British woman came up to him and asked for directions to Vancouver. Dan was a bit mystified, as Vancouver was rather far away, but he attempted to give her directions. With no pens or paper, he was forced to use his ever present roll of duct tape and make a map on the window. She thanked him, and offered him a ride to wherever he might be going that day. Dan said that he had lately become rather paranoid about the safety code of yellows and reds, feeling that maybe it was being colorist to blues and greens. (Never mind that this is an American code, Dan is an activist). So the British woman gave him a lift to the Public Safety Building. This made Dan happy. After he violently protested the code, he biked all the way home. He realized that the reason he was disappointed was because he didn't have the energy to describe his awesome day on LJ, and that his LJ friends had egged his house because of this. Damn.
