Walking in the park just the other day
I went out for a walk this morning, over to Shepherd's Lookout at the back of Belco. I made a post about it here - http://sportslashlife.com/canberra-walks-shepherds-lookout-uriarra-loop/
It's a great view from there. I made a wrong turn in the track a little later on and that could have been really disastrous but ended up turning out ok.
That's something I've been trying to do lately. I haven't been doing a whole heap of walks, but I've been doing them every now and then, and what I'm trying to do is make a post about it straight away, rather than going through the old times and eventually catching up, but you never really catch up.
That's how I'm going with my vlogs, never really catching up. I was doing really well, pumping out one per week, now I am not and I'm getting a backlog building up. I've had some cool times with old friends in recent weeks and that's something I want to put together as a bit of a memory.
Here is a pretty fuzzy picture of us. I was trying to find an old picture to see how we've aged but can't find one for the moment. In reality we look more or less the same. And do plenty of the same things still, when we can make time for it.
So anyway, I haven't mentioned the weekend. My friend Ferrit was in town, up from Melbourne to watch the Melbourne vs Raiders match. The Raiders lost as per usual, but more on that later. On Friday we went out skating and we hit up four spots, which was probably a bit excessive as we are not as young as we used to be. I had a bit of a crash but pulled up ok. We went over to the Thai restaurant near here for dinner. It was pretty good, but that place is a bit expensive I always find. Though he did give us all a free bowl of ice cream, which was a fun inclusion.
Saturday we drank beers before the footy and then a whole lot more during and after the footy. The night was a bit too crazy, kind of to the level that I think I need to limit the beers for sometime.
