I've been here for years, rocking my peers
The return of a couple of old faces and the addition of some new recruits has made the whole Livejournal experience more enjoyable in recent days. Come to think of it, that was the whole idea behind the successful Sampaoli era at Universidad de Chile, bringing back some old faces, bringing up some young ones, then winning.
On the weekend we went to celebrate Diego's birthday (3 years old). It is also his Dad's birthday in the next couple of days (40)
He received many presents, including a blow up pool, remote control motorbike and we gave him some trucks. Francisca got a really good bargain on that actually, it was something like 6 trucks for less than a dollar each one.
We had a good BBQ and then I succumbed to an afternoon snooze (though that very day I had mentioned in a comment that I though the afternoon nap was generally a waste of time).
The reason why I started out with the words about the comeback, apart from quoting The Dead Walk quoting LL Cool J, was that today I finally got back on the footbag "field" (well, downstairs in the plaza). I played in a pick-up soccer game a while ago and copped a pretty strong shoulder in the chest, which has led to some rib problems, it seems to be picking up so I had a little session.
Not the greatest, but a good feeling to be getting back into it.
Here is a short video of me from a while back. Nothing particularly special in terms of tricks, but a cool background.

And you know what, that's not too far away from where we went for the birthday on the weekend. Yesterday we popped by an event that was about Brazil, but it wasn't really our scene, so then we went to this restaurant which is not my scene because it is a rip off, but that was ok as we went with some friends.
I have been thinking a lot about whether or not this year has been a success, which is something I touched upon a while back. Unfortunately, I think overall it is going to be a no. Though it will be something to build on.
