So I got the letter "F" in a meme from Jen/
newmistakes, one of my new LJ pals. It's good to make some new pals on here as the populations seems to be regularly dwindling.
So you have to write ten things about the letter.
Let's just get it out of the way and start with
Fuck - I guess at age 10 or maybe a bit older, this is a word that starts to lose having such a strong impact. When I was younger that was a BAD word, but you know, you see it in the movies, hear it in songs, all this kind of thing. Then there are classic terms like "it's fucked, get fucked, fuck off" and so on and so forth.
Fun - That is my general goal in life, to be enjoying what I am doing. Of course that doesn't always work, and it doesn't always make very much money, but I think that's a key element in a healthy happy life, is do be having fun.
Frenzal Rhomb -This is one of my favourite bands over time. This irreverent Aussie attitude of absolutely taking the piss and finding new ways to rhyme words with swear words is really something. They're a band that I began listening to when I was about 12 years old, and still listen to regularly now.
Frankfurt - This is a city that didn't particularly impress me. When I went on my first overseas trip (in 2009), I flew in and out of Frankfurt. We just met a guy though at Noche Zero who lives in Frankfurt and he says you have to really dig into it to discover the city properly and he how loves living there. I was just giving some advice on a forum about travel in Europe on a Eurail pass.
Fire - I am not particularly good with fire. Sometimes we play "fire hack" with a flaming footbag. I am always scared though of my shoe catching on fire, or kicking it up into my face, so I don't really like to play. Also, when I was a kid I was an altar boy. Sometimes I had the inability to light the candles, so we would have the procession come down with unlit candles...
Foursquare -This is something I have begun to use a big lately. As with many of the social media, I don't really get the purpose completely, but have just been playing round to see if it is useful. I think for me, not too much.
Footbag -Footbag is a sport that I play. It's like hacky sack, with tricks. I am heading to the South American championships in Colombia next month. I have been playing for many years. I try to play every day and am always trying to build the sport in Chile. So far I haven't had too much success in the construction process.
Footy- My favourite type of football is Rugby League. I am a fan of the Canberra Raiders, since the age of 6. When I moved to Canberra, at age 19, many people asked if I had just started supporting the Raiders. I said no, and glared at them.
Football -There is always debate over whether to say football or soccer. Because I write for a website that's owned by guys from the US, we have to write in "American English", which I don't like saying. Honestly though, because in Chile, futbol es todo, normally I don't even mention the sport, unless it's something else, like rugby, water polo, running or something.
Far Out -This was classic Australian saying when I was growing up. Maybe it was just to avoid saying fuck, but I remember this being something people would really say on a regular basis. Maybe not so much anymore!
So, let me know if you would like a letter.
