Here am today at the school I have been giving classes to teach
English with Footbag at. They presented me with a medal and had a wall about footbag, which was pretty awesome.
Probably the only school in the world to have a wall about Footbag!
A project I have an idea to go is get guys from Finland, Poland, Japan, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Colombia, Israel - just a bunch of my friends really...get them to say something in English about how it is a great learning tool, then do a cool combo, possibly in front of an interesting background.
We have had our friends Karen and Brendan in town the last couple of days. They just left this evening. We went to an American Football game in Maipú yesterday. That is one end of the metro, then today we went to the other end to go to the school today.
It was great having them here. We have been lucky to have a bunch of our friends come over. I think it would be really cool though to get a group of us together, maybe 10 or so, and do a cool South American trip. Maybe in 2014, based around the World Cup.
Tomorrow we're off to Curacavi for a BBQ, a swim and probably not much else. It is our friend Villa's birthday. We already went to a party at her house the other night, but this is apparently the real deal. If we get back in time I will go for a kick around with some friends as well.
The other thing I want to get done soon is a submission for the footbag Christmas Calendar. I guess I will try and do that by the end of the week.
We are now watching a show called Chile: Un Pais Serio there have just been the contrasting images of a huge march/festival encouraging marijuana becoming legalised, then footage from a straight edge show. It's a pretty interesting show though, just featuring many different movements and what they do.
