Hell, said hell
Welcome to the daily grind
So the newspaper has moved to a new office. It is a much better office (though it will be a bit cramped with a whole bunch of people I guess), however we're right in the centre of the action. Not the city centre, but in the middle of Providencia, so walking through the streets it is super busy. I think I will actually take a longer route and walk through the park to get there, instead of walking through the "rat race". That was the benefit of the previous office, it was about the same distance to walk, but most of the way was through the park.
We ate lasagne for dinner tonight. Lasagne is my favourite food, though this one could have done with some extra time in the oven. I like it to be a bit crispy. Our oven is kind of shithouse so I didn't have the patience to wait any longer.
My assignment for the uni is progressing somewhat. The somewhat is because I have most of the thoughts inside my head, and not on the page. But my ideas are getting ready to roll out. My head is filled with a lot of ideas, but that's what I need to do - get them rolling out.
So I am going to begin working with this guy who is in the Start Up Chile program - we will see how that all goes. I think I am probably selling my self short, but it depends how much all of the work will take. Let's hope it's not too much and I can keep on carrying on and bring in a few more bucks.
When we were down at the beach, I borrowed a few books from Pablo. I have barely been reading books at all. I have been reading "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Diaz so far - it is only the second book I have read this year.
There is going to be an ANZAC Day function at the house of the New Zealand ambassador. It is on super early though, I think at 6:30am. I think it would be good to go though, could meet some good contacts there.
I look forward to some more mates visiting. Viv and Bret will come at June, while my friend Chris is talking about coming in October before fest. You never know who else will wash up on these Pacific shores...
