Singin' La la La La Laaaaaaaa

Have spent the weekend in Rancagua. On Saturday, as I mentioned we went up into the mountains, up passed the El Teniente mine. That is one of the biggest in Chile and my brother in law is actually one of the jefes (bosses) there. 2IC I believe. He got offered a job in Perth but he decided not to take it. They have five kids so it is hard to replicate the quality of life with the higher prices in Australia.

Here is a part of the view. We went and had a picnic together, then took a walk along the road a little further. It was exactly the type of thing we would do with the family in Australia (well more with the Sedgwick side, my mum's side). Although on our family excursions, it is always more likely to involve going to the beach.

It is always incredible to be in a hot sunny day and look up and see the snow. It's getting a bit late now, but I will put up some more pictures another day. Actually, here is a picture I took when we came home - a great looking sunset this evening.

I believe I mentioned that I almost had the chance to meet Richard Branson the other day. Things didn't quite work out with that, but I did meet another bloke - and I will be working with him. He is in Start Up Chile - the program that gives free money (and plenty of it) to entrepreneurs. This is going to be my first opportunity to do some freelancing stuff with someone from the program, and it could well lead to a whole lot more.

This is a different job to the one that I applied for, so I have an interview for that on Wednesday - let's see how that all goes. What the fact is going to be - particularly if I get that other job, is that I am going to be getting paid full time, to write. If I had have said that, even one year ago - the response probably would have been "tell him his dreamin'!"

A dreamer, is all I am. A dreamer, is all I am.
