Lollapalooza
I am going to Lollapalooza today, tomorrow also. I have a free ticket. Foo Fighters are headlining, they play tomorrow for 2.5 hours. Today I am keen to see Crosses. It is a reasonably new band of Chino Moreno (Deftones), that I honestly didn't know about. I also didn't know they were playing the festival until yesterday.
It is much softer than a lot of Deftones stuff, but I have been listening to it a bit, and it sounds quite alright (it is with one of the guys from Far).
The best part is I have a "press pass" - ie free ticket. I went yesterday to this launch thing with the minister (Cruz-Coke). He threw the horns like a natural! (http://bit.ly/HwFsXd) Then the mayor of Santiago tried to do that too, and he had a serious struggle getting his fingers into the appropriate formation...
The lineup is not that good though, I don't know if I would go if I had to pay a ticket. Maybe just to the second day, however I don't have to pay so I can do whatever I want :) It's very hot lately though, so I will probably just head down in the afternoon as the sun starts to set.
Not too much other news, have been spending a bunch of time at the pool at Casper's house. It is a great spot to play footbag there too. Here is a video from last week.
It has a great view from the roof up there.
We are also going to a farewell party for Isabel, a friend of Francisca. She is moving to Buenos Aires, so we will have to go and visit sometime in the near future.
