We are in Karlstadt in Germany staying with John Boyle and his wife Gisela. Their daughter is really into metal and was surprised at all the names of metal bands that we knew. She didn't know that it was even popular in Australia! She sings in a covers band (not metal) I think more like ACDC.
The 3 days with Armelle was great. We had lots in common and she drove us all around the country side to check out the Somme battlefields.
Hope job at Youth Hostel is going well and that Ali's jobs are going well. Dad says hi
Last night we had a farewell for a few people at work, so I had a pretty late night. Went to Transit, Civic Labour Club and Rev. Rev is really shit. Now I remember why I prefer to just stay at home at watch the footy most Friday nights. But yeah, it was an ok night, nothing amazing. We had pizzas first and I ate way too much which made me feel pretty sick, so that I wasn't really having a raging time.
We are going to Karen's housewarming tonight. I'm going to be driving so there also won't be such a raging time to be had, but that will probably save me embarrrasment and making a dick out of myself, and also save me money.
