If I was a ship, this would be me lately. So it's time to get back on course or something.

So today I decided it was about time I turned my life around. I was feeling very (maybe some would say suprisingly) motivated.

I got up a little after 8 and went for a run. Kate has a pedometer, I was kind of doubtful if it worked, but I think it did a fairly decent job of it. By the end of my trip I had just over 6 k's clocked up. This is included about 2k's of walking to the foreshore and back, then I jogged up to Limburner's point, back down to the beach then did some interval training by doing some sprints on the sand.

With the sprints I did 5x

walk to the end of the beach
jog halfway
sprint other half

it was probably about a 200m stretch of beach, so I was feeling pretty fucked by the last one. But I didn't stop or anything.

So today I have contacted more organisations about doing footbag things. All these emails I am sending I am also attaching my resume to just in case they need a new staff member. Contacted places like YMCA and PCYC today, I have a feeling they could have really good potential.

OK, looks like I may be going back into the telemarketing game. That retirement didn't last long. But this job is with a reputable organisation. The job is selling subscriptions to papers like The Australian and the Daily Telegraph, and people actually buy these things, and would probably like to be asked if they want a subscription. Rather than some dodgy holiday package where they have to go to some bullshit seminar that's "definitely not timeshare" which generally means it definitely is. The biggest thing with telemarketing is that if you think the product is shonky, even if you're trying to hide it, it's going to come across in your tone etc. So tomorrow I have to go to a group interview with the recruitment agency, if succesful I move through to the actual company, and if that goes well, training is on Monday.

Also. This one pays better. $18/hr, there's saturday shifts which are $23/hr. So they even pay penalties, which is a sign of a less shonky operator. So yeah...it's something to do for a bit of cash for a while. It's afternoon shifts, til 8pm. But that doesn't phase me too much really. I think it's a good offer for what I need right now (money).

So I get paid for my previous telemarketing work. I would say it should be around the $280 mark, which should last me a little while I guess. Especially if I have a new job to go to.

So I'm pretty keen on seeing Comeback Kid and Sick Of It All. They're playing tomorrow at the Corner and Friday (AA) at Camberwell. It's $35, but Comeback Kid rule a lot, and I didn't see them last time they came out (didn't know any of their songs then). But yeah, pretty keen on it. I think I'll go.

sprints, newspapers, running, money, shows, exercise, telemarketing, comeback kid, life, sick of it all, jobs
