so yeah
I finally got around to buy some CDs to make the mp3 cds to send out with the zines...only for them to be fucking shithouse and not work :(
I think I will just try burning them from uni tomorrow.
Sam came over this afternoon :) It was nice just lying together holding each other. She's going to the family reunion dealio tomorrow and returns Monday. I leave Tuesday for Sydney, return Saturday.
But anyway...in other exciting news, I'm applying to be on the UCU Member Services committee...this is the committe that runs clubs and socs, stonefest, and other uni things. From what Rachael said in her email, I think I can probably just walk it and be on the committee....I like it!
By the end of the year, my resume is going to look pretty chunky for events/sports stuff

add to this the UCU Member Services and any other random crap I end up doing. It should be looking good. Thereby, I will be ready to finish uni at the end of the year (as long as I don't fail shit)
got the media conference marks back........we passed, but our mark wasn't very good :( It may have actually been one of the lowest...but still we passed. And our footbag sponsorship proposal is going to be awesome, which will bring my marks way up. Real needed to get a good chunk of this law essay over and done with. In reality I would like it done by monday, as I'm going to Sydney on Tuesday.
I called Mum and Dad and then Grandma tonight. I think me and Ben will end up staying at Grandma's...mainly due to the proximity of Luna Park to Grandma's house. Trent, Kizza and Dan Smiley will all be up there, and may be keen for post-Opeth shenanigans, but...we'll see what happens. Ben booked his bus for 9am the next morning, which is really plenty of time to get into the city the next day.
So on Wednesday, the Hatebreed show is going to finish pretty early (doors open at 4). So I've come up with an intriguing plan...is to go to the Gaelic Club, and stand outside and watch Darkest Hour. From the outside doors of the gaelic, you can see everything that goes on in there. Wow...I might even be able to sneak in. I've only heard one Darkest Hour song (Oklahoma), sounds pretty good...though I''d much rather go to Hatebreed. But yeah....could work well. And you know, if it doesn't, I'll just go to the Strawberry Hills and get a $5 steak. Good times.
So "Sound Fest" is on tomorrow. There's been pretty much no promo for it. Well organised event...and yeah I get to be the "stage manager". I don't particularly know what's going on, only I arrive at 5pm at the bar tomorrow and Brad will let me know what's going down. I'm not particularly excited for this event. I would be a lot more excited if there was no stress involved on my behalf..cos come on..... Prom Queen, Stab, ....Dead, Brisk.... yeah!
but oh well. Oh yeah...it would also be excellent if it was NOT all ages. With the whole idea of fencing the bar off etc....apparently at After The Fall, they didn't have any area restrictions or anything...and it didn't work out for them.
So yeah. Brumbies on Saturday. Prom Queen/Amity in Wollongong on Sunday....and I get to meet Sam from Wollongong :D that's exciting! Lol...somehow Paddy was talking to her on the phone the other day...crazy, crazy. But yeah..that should be a real good night...Oh yeah, no stress on that one either...I can mosh it up as much as I like. And the biggest factor in the night is AMITY AMITY AMITY AMITY AMITY!!!!!!!! yay! I think we're just doing the ol' up and back trick. I should get drunk. I probably will. My mum is putting that $20 into my account tomorrow...which gives me about $50 until next Wednesday, which is pretty alright...then I should get aobut $150 on Wed, leving me $100 til the Monday after, once I pay the affiliation for the footbag club.
Friday is Newcastle for Frankenbok/Daysend. That should be awesome...Frankenbok have promised to play old stuff....I dunno what defines old stuff anymore, as their overcranked set was all brand new material...but I'm guessing complete variety. Then I'm gonna come back to Sydney at like 3am, probably stay out all night and catch the bus to Canberra in the morn, then Brumbies on Saturday night.
After that, I should return to normal sleeping patterns, and also normal going to uni patterns (good choice to go on a holiday the week AFTER the holidays, Daniel...).
New Tool album is pretty damn good, I must say...got it off Benno this morning...Yay! Ben is back in town :) I'm sending Crowden the files...........he said he will buy me beer the next time I see him! What a winning situation. But yeah. I think Vicarious is the best track on the CD, though that's probably because I've listened to it more. I also think 10, 000 days (Wings pt 2) is AWESOME.
It got cold all of a sudden. damn. Winter is approaching fast and it's just going to get colder and colder and colder....oh noes!
