Yesterday morning I stopped at a convenience store about an hour from my house as I was on my way to meet up with Chen to celebrate our one year anniversary and I accidentally locked my keys in my car. I pleaded with the convenience store workers in Japanese to help me so they searched the phone book and called a locksmith for me. After wandering around the convenience store for about 45 minutes "reading" the Japanese magazines, he finally came to my rescue.
From his van he pulled out a small box of tools and walked over to my car. He only used two tools, one which looked like a giant pair of tweezers and one that looked like the tool you use for the game Operation and in five seconds flat he had popped my lock. FIVE SECONDS! Then came the bill which amounted to about 80 bucks. 80 bucks for 5 seconds worth of work! He made in 5 seconds what I make in one day. I couldnt believe it. Im changing jobs....Im going to be a locksmith! There's no worry about job security because there are always doofuses like me in the world and it is a low risk job with very specific skills.
