dlo the culinary genius

Chen (a good cook himself) always teases me that I am too lazy to cook so I took it upon myself to prove him wrong this weekend. On Friday night I made Brushetta (my specialty) and stuffed green peppers which were surprisingly quite yummy.

My friend Denise had given me a packet of Bisquick cinnamon biscuit mix so on Saturday morning I made some good old southern biscuits. I cannot recommend this mix highly enough. It is sooo easy. All you do is add a half a cup of water, stir and pour them onto the cookie sheet. My house smelled absolutely amazing because of the cinnamon. These biscuits are not as sweet and ooey gooey like the Pillsbury ones but they are still delicious. Ok so I guess making biscuits from a mix does not make me a culinary genius but still.

For my birthday, my brother gave me the first season of Greys Anatomy, which means yet another American TV show I am hooked on. First it was DH and Lost and now this one. Ive never really gotten into hospital shows, I would watch ER and Scrubs occasionally but not every week but this show really kept my attention. I think what makes it real for me is that I have a few friends in medical school now so I picture them going through experiences like the characters on the show do.

My brother also gave me the second season of Chappelle's Show. He is so funny. He has smart humor that makes you think alongside fart jokes.

Hooray for lazy weekends!
