One man analogue revival - or, who wants a tape?

I've been buying lots of records again lately, something I haven't done for years. I used to collect records in my teens and up to about my mid-twenties. I never really had a great collection, as such, as I never really had the money to invest, unlike some of my mates. Most of my collection, such as it was, has been lost or dispersed through various house moves or slash and burn clearouts (I've no problem about binning or selling stuff when I lose interest). I've been reading a lot about music lately, so collecting is something I've taken an intereest in again. Plus in the age of eBay, it's so much easier to track something down at a decent price.

I prefer records to CDs or MP3s, as I like the look and feel of them - the size, the artwork plus it's fun seeing if you can track something down. Also, this format lets you retain some of the context at least, and listen to the tunes in way originally intended. I find records much easier to digest - 40 minutes of music, rather than 50 tunes squeezed onto a double CD. Plus you can't skin up on a CD cover. All this is self-consciously a reaction against the ubiquity of MP3s as well. It stops me acculmulating all the music in the world on my MP3 player and never listening to it. Seems to make music a little more .... visceral?

All of this is an elaborate preamble to say, does anyone fancy a tape? I have all this new stuff, I don't want to hoard it all, so if you still have a tape player, comment here and I'll knock you something up. Expect a mix of krautrock, reggae, grime and whatever other random bits have passed into my hands recently. Yes, I could do a CD-R but ... I'm being contrary.
