Not really. I haven't been posting so much because there's stuff going on in my life that I don't really want to talk about yet and when that happens I just tend to shut down. It's nothing bad, but I feel bad because I've been out of touch with so many people and I didn't get to Minnesota this summer at all. My hope is that I'll be in MN next summer for a week or so, not sure if it'll be CONvergence weekend. Dan has a conference in mid-June in Iceland and I'm looking at possibly joining him there like I did with Italy.
School has started. Most of my classes are good. Tomorrow morning has a good class, so I start the week off well, but Friday morning sucks. Urban planning students who don't show up and if they do, all they do is sit and talk to each other while I'm talking. I dislike senior students in a freshman class sometimes.
I broke my shoes, my favorite pair too. I've been wearing my Chaco sandals non-stop for the last three years and they just wore out on me. My walking Keens have also been falling apart and I didn't buy another pair in the states, but thankfully there's a store in town that carries both brands and I managed to purchase replacement shoes for both pairs today.
We're still settling into the new apt. I'm cooking 4-5 times a week and that makes me feel so much more settled in, but we're holding a microwave for a friend who hasn't come up to pick it up and I'm getting ready to just sell it to someone else. I have no idea if she even paid for the microwave. It belonged to a friend who moved back to New Zealand.
I still like my iPad, but it doesn't replace my laptop. It is much better with the wireless keyboard, but I dislike carrying that around everywhere - or the big purse I have to lug around to fit the iPad.
I see lots of people are migrating to Dreamwidth which I'm not sure about, mostly because I'd have to come up with a new username since someone already has mine.
The nice thing is that the weather has cooled down a bit there, but it's raining almost every day.
I haven't gained or lost any weight, but my body seems to be redistributing what I've already got and now lots of my clothes don't fit very well which is really frustrating.
I spent the entire weekend watching movies and cross stitching. I never considered Jake Gyllenhaal to be attractive at all, but he was really appealing with long hair and muscles in Prince of Persia. Oh and A-Team was a lot of fun.
