Last week was my 18th birthday party (aka debut). It was a bit lengthy and definitely vain - since it was all about me, but I was just glad to see my friends again, all in one place! Screams and cheers filled the room. Flashes blinded and girls pulled each other to one spot to take another picture. Home, home!
It was strange having to mingle with one table to the next. I feel bad now, realizing that I didn't hang out with my family all too much, but I don't know. I was just overwhelmed by my friends. I miss them all too much! I wasn't a great hostess, but I never was quite a hostess to begin with. It's alright. I think they understood and I think they liked embarrassing me and talking about me - AGAIN WITH THE VANITY! HAHA!
My choir sang songs for me, and I had to pretend to be surprised.
People told stories, and complained about me not listening. Hehe! I was...multitasking.
My sister made a video, which embarrassed me and made me laugh at the same time. Naturally, they all had the joke, "Aww...you were so cute! What happened?" Well, that's growing up, right? You go from cute to totoy to pretty to beautiful. I think I'm in the totoy stage! HAHAHA! Hmm...when will my pretty days come in? Don't answer that.
My friends sang for me too, while my cousin played the guitar. I expected it...but my gosh, it was sweet how they presented me with 18 roses! Who needs boys when you've got girls, right? HAHA! It was a bit ruined by Kristine's complaining that they should all pay her back since she paid for them.
Blowing of the candles, cut the cake - while they talked about why I'm a hero, and danced.
It wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for me. And you know what it is...look at the subject! HAHA! Vanity!
