Things have been extremely busy over the last little while (bbqs to go to, reports to write at work, housework to do, furniture to repair, etc., etc.) and I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and write. That doesn't mean, however, that I haven't actually been doing anything interesting (see the previous list). Over the next few weeks, with the exception of some time off for our vacation during the last two weeks of August (where both Meg and I are participating in the
Run For Your Lives event near Pittsburgh on September 1st), I plan to cover the following (in no particular order):
- Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - The Book vs. The Movie
- Snow White and Huntsman (Meg and I went to see it while Rowan was at a party a couple weekends ago)
- The Balvenie "Doublewood" 12 Year Old & War on Terror: The Boardgame
- Laphroaig "Quarter-Cask"
- Innis & Gunn "Rum Cask" & Vanilla Rum Pulled Pork
In other news, Rowan has started jiu-jitsu (she's having a lot of fun!) and has almost mastered riding her bicycle without training wheels (we haven't let her ride on the bike path yet, as her ability to steer is still suspect, but she can ride for a long time around the baseball fields across the way). We were planning to go out tonight and do some more biking, but that got put off due to the rain, so instead we played Twister!, and while I found out that I am not as flexible as I once was, my long limbs certainly give me an advantage over short people.
