I woke up with just enough time to get to the train station and get to work before the normal meeting. The day was mostly productive but had some decent distractions just out of feeling 'burnt out' for the week. I had some great conversations with my friends and before I knew it, it was time to head home. I went home to find Josh taking a nap in bed with Snails & Molly. We talked about different ideas for dinner after he woke up and we finally decided on a random dinner menu. I went to Meijer to pick up some of the foods and then headed home to attempt cooking dinner. We ate and watched some TV before heading to bed.
Today was just one of those days where time seemed to alternate between moving quickly and hardly moving at all. One hour would seem like two and the next felt like 15 minutes. The day slipped away while I watched helplessly knowing there's nothing anyone could do.
Days like today are those weird ones where you can feel unproductive for two hours, and then have 30 minutes of productivity that more than compensates for the unproductive time. I always wonder about when jobs pay hourly vs salary how they take into consideration that there is hardly ever solid productivity throughout the day.
"It's more like, let's start the car, set the cruise control on to 50 mph, and then remove the brakes, steering wheel, and lock the doors." ~ Michael VM.
Traffic itself seemed very touch & go for the most part. Very strange for a Friday night.
