Exchanging Ideas in the Past

There comes a time when I just want to peruse something on my past. It's like clearing my thoughts for a while. It brings a smile to my face. It also brings regrets. Overwhelmed is the right feeling, I guess.

I started joining online forums in 2008. I was only a senior in high school that time. The reason behind it was to know everything about college life, particularly on the part wherein you got accepted into the chosen school. A lot of us were actually in our senior year too, which was cool since we all had the same feeling. Of course, there were the ates and kuyas to guide us on how to survive it.

On my 2nd year of being active, I started perusing on love stories, beauty tips, books to read and a lot more. Basically, I just enjoyed reading comments on a certain topic. I sometimes posted my sentiments too. I even gained friends there, although it was just for a short period of time. They may not even remember me anymore.

It was only two years ago that I became inactive. I was kind of losing interest and the world of online forum is slowly demising. With the former, I just became more interested in watching crime-sleuthing shows. Reading hypnotizes me, so I definitely prefer watching than get whimsical on words. Besides, tv shows cram everything in less than an hour. With the latter on the other hand, it's sad to know that online forums are not on trend now. Blame the social networking sites. I have nothing against them, but sometimes, I don't see the essence of giving comments on anything, specifically when it comes to political matters. Probably, you rarely see trolls on online forums.

It's been a while since I last visited those sites. It felt good, and bad at the same time, especially on the part wherein only a few decent people seem to care giving a sound opinion. For me, I feel so safe posting something there. You may be judged, but at least, they don't know who you really are, since you're only known based on your username. There may be other ways to express whatever you want to say, but in my opinion, online forums are the best.

crappy post, past, writer's block, reminiscing, senseless post, senseless, crappy
