every morning, we've been getting up later and later, and consequently have been staying up later. by the end of the week, our body clocks will be utterly fucked--in time for camp! score. we woke up at 12:30ish and sort of lazed around for a couple hours. we then went to the beach (a pattern emerging?). the water was unbelievable cold and all windy-like, but our legs went all numb, so it was okay. of course we were acting like our mildly insane selves, but we seemed to amuse some girls swimming nearby. the lifeguard was laughing at us, too. i can't imagine why--we were only screaming every time a tiny wave came, or our feet touched sand (oh my!). then we walked back (and got honks n hollers from truck drivers) and got all showered up. for the next few hours, we didn't do much at all--slept mostly, read owen meany, and ate. chelsea went running, but nat and i didn't feel especially inspired to be physically active. we then headed to the boardwalk, where we played a few arcade games, ate some ice cream, checked out a few boys, etc. we found the dollar store that is no longer a dollar store and met the ultra-sweet clerk and johnny depp look-alike that gave henna tattoos. they both liked my hat, which i've decided is quite a useful thing. the cashier was so appologetic when he forgot to give chelsea a bag that it made my want to cry. and johnny waved to my as we were leaving. we've already plotted excuses to go back. i found a pair of shorts that say "sexy" on the bum, but chelsea wouldn't let me get them for doug. what a shame, they would have looked hott on him. with two "t"s. we got back, played hell, had talks about family, religion, society's bias against female horniness, undescended testicles, genital warts, and liberals gone conservative. what good fun we do have. we are quite dejected that no good teen club is to be found in rehoboth. i suppose we'll have to make our own fun. we've yet to pick up any guys, but the week is young.
