I was having a chat with some friends about The Da Vinci Code and someone mentioned Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
It occurred to me that Ted "Theodore" Logan could be a pun on "Theologian" and after doing a Google on "William Preston" discovered that he was a prominent Freemason. Coincidence?
I'm going to rent Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey on DVD this weekend and analyse them for Masonic/Occult symbolism, just for shits and giggles. There are certainly quite a few supernatural/religious themes if you scratch the surface of those movies in my humble opinion...
