I'm teething.
No, really. All day, and maybe yesterday too but I'm not sure, I felt something on the back of my gums on the right side of my mouth. Like where my lower right molar used to be.
I thought maybe I had cut my gums on some piece of sharp food like a nacho. It happens sometimes since I got those molars pulled last year. I try to be careful about it, but not so careful that I've stopped eating nachos. Tonight, for some reason, I reached back there to touch the spot that I thought was a scab or a flap of... gum skin, I guess? And it was hard. Like a tooth.
I used my car visor mirror, which lights up when its open, and looked in. It's a tooth.
I'm going to be 24 in a couple of months, and my first wisdom tooth has just shown itself.
I really never thought they'd actually come through. They've been there since I was 18 or so, they just never came through. One of my dentists even said they probably would just sit there until I had them removed (which I should, they're entirely perpendicular to the direction they should be facing, and impacted, too, if that actually means something different).
I wonder if this means I have to speed up getting around to having them removed.
Before you ask, yes, I have discomfort from them, and have for a few years. They definitely have to come out, it's just a matter of when.
