I read a story once, a long time ago, about a magic ring. The protagonist in the story used the magic ring to fly to distant lands, but one day the ring broke, and the magic was gone.

I seem to remember the ring being fixed by the end of the story, but I can't remember how that was or what happened in the middle of the tale. It's been bothering me lately.

Does anyone else know this story?
