Night 52: M-A Block Hallway

[From here]"Hmmm..." Goku walked down the hallway with short steps, stubby arms crossed over his chest, as he wandered down the dismally dark corridor that seemed to just continue on forever. This was where he had met Spock last night, but he couldn't really sense anyone else in the hall with him. He took another sniff, but decided to just keep ( Read more... )

There was a brief moment - one spent wheeling around in the dark with his hands out in front of him, feeling like a complete dick - that Gabriel decided that maybe the lock pick thing hadn't been the best idea, seeing as he hadn't even had the foresight (well, he had, but hair-zombie-ghost had gotten in the way) to snag his brother's flashlight, at the very least. Being one of the most powerful creatures in the universe was kind of hampering once all of the magic was gone, when one didn't waste their time thinking about how to deal with darkness. It just wasn't a problem. Like eating regularly.

His stomach growled, irritating him in the silence.

The only silver lining is that he wasn't a complete idiot and had paid attention to the general architecture of the building when Nurse Piccowang had found it in her heart to lead him by the leash during the day. A few minutes of blind stumbling took him to the opposite wall, across from the hall where his room was, which eventually lead to him finding the door handle he'd been looking for.

And he thought he'd been stumbling before.

Being human totally sucked. Maybe he liked them - which, of course, seemed to be something he couldn't ever admit without being stabbed in the heart - but being one? Ahah, no. Gabriel wasn't like Anna; becoming one had never crossed his mind. Ripping out his Grace sounded like such a joy and a half, but... no. He didn't hate what he was, and he was way better at hiding fleeing hiding than probably any angel had thought him capable of.

Of course, the only other ones to think of going pagan had been Lucifer's falling angels, and... well. Bad rap and all.

Either way, the least He could have done was made humans be able to see in the dark. Or given them E.T. fingers. Or be born with glow sticks in their hands. Something useful.

At least he knew where the next hallway was. Kind of.

If he fell and impaled himself, he was going to be so pissed.
