It shouldn't be necessary, he told himself. Honey had plenty of friends who'd be after him as soon as it was apparent he was missing. It wasn't his responsibility. But this place had done its fair share of tormenting to himself and his friends. Honey seemed far too innocent to deserve anything like that.
He'd have to check on him in the morning. For now, he had someone to meet with.

By now, he would admit his current actions were folly. It was a siren's call he never meant to heed, and for all his indifference and dwindling care, it would be a brother's cry that would reach Nigredo. . . . . But nobody else was.
Amaterasu lowered her head a little, wondering if she hadn't been late at all. Maybe she was early. If that was the case, than Honey was probably still inside his room. The goddess softly rapped upon his door, tilting her head to the side while she waited for an answer.
But no answer came.
"Hello?" she called. "Honey? Takashi?"

The goddess pawed at the door before her and twisted the handle. She pushed it open gently and shined her flashlight inside.
Empty.
There was nobody there.
". . . Honey . . . . . ?"
No reply.
Amaterasu closed the door behind her and sank down against the hallway walls. She was a patient creature. She wasn't about to give up and head back. Even if it meant waking up in her room again, she was going to wait for Honey and the others.
