A bigger hallway. Just how big was this place supposed to be, anyway? Not that it mattered since he'd find his way out regardless, but Sanctum facilities tended to be huge. He still wasn't seeing any signs of monsters. Wasn't seeing too many people either. ...Actually, Snow wasn't seeing much of anything with how dark it was. Not that

Wow. It was surprising how few people were out and about - though the night was very young, he guessed. Time seemed to move funny when there were still drugs in one's system. His stride, though, was stronger, more determined; Matt felt fairly well-equipped to deal with Mello and his bullshit tonight.
He turned right when he came out into the large hallway, heading south for the same place he'd run into Mello the night before.
Or. Thereabout. Somewhere. He couldn't totally remember where he and the blond had come together, but he could make an educated guess.

There was no time to stop or look around. Every stride forward was almost a leap, just continuous sprinting from one hall to the next. Every turn was both controlled yet chaotic, one leg switching balance completely to the other and allowing momentum to turn his body toward the correct direction in order to sprint off again.
He didn't have time to stop. Truth be told, he barely had time to even give Edward his task. But he had to believe Master Zato was strong enough to hold out until reinforcement, even in the state he was in now. He had to believe that. He was going to make it this time.
Everyone and everything in the hallway was ignored, just as the last.

The captain had stopped in the next hallway. McCoy stepped in after him and took the chance to look him over. He caught the moment's tension in his neck and shoulders, right before it drained out upon seeing him. Jim didn't even give him the chance to ask what happened. He was all business, moving onto the matter of last night.
Had he encountered those transporting doors? McCoy didn't actually know what Jim had been up to last night, but he thought it unlikely that he hadn't encountered a single warp. He hadn't the chance to ask. Maybe something had held him up. The news of the Enterprise had certainly gotten his interest, but if he didn't know, he had to get filled in on the rest of it. How they'd arrived back home, going back in time, apparently, would sound mad otherwise ( ... )

A quick pan with his flashlight revealed no dangers, but considering last night's ambush, Kirk kept his ears and eyes on alert, and glanced at Bones before moving for the exit to the rec field. The doctor followed without even interrupting his explanation, which somehow managed to both last the entire distance there and not impart a single piece of a new information. Well, unless you counted Bones appreciating transporter technology, that was... admittedly pretty new - but Kirk sure as hell didn't, even if a smile was threatening to crack his exasperated expression ( ... )

Amaterasu glanced down at her map. Takashi's room was just within the next block. She had made it!
The door leading in sat just to her left, just as it said on the paper. She opened it hurried and burst through, eager to finally have some company within these dark and dreary walls.

Even though it was still early, the Scarecrow was surprised that there weren't more people already in the hallway. Maybe they were afraid the doors would be enchanted again and had opted to stay in for the night? The strawman couldn't blame them- there was a good chance the Wizard Landel would be up to his usual (or unusual, as it seemed he'd been fairly creative so far) trickery; however, it wouldn't do any good for anyone to just stay in the relative safety of the bedrooms. He couldn't hide forever, after all.
Besides, how was he supposed to find answers if he didn't look for them himself? At least there were some folks who weren't ready to give up the fight yet. The key to taking down the Wizard Landel would be finding said people and uniting the effort. That was the tricky part.
