No assignment tonight. That was strange, Meche thought--but then, only a few people had replied to Hitsugaya's roll call, so maybe there just weren't enough of them who were in good enough shape to take on a new job. It made sense for them to take a little time off after what had happened last night.
There was that report--neatly handwritten

Bella's unpleasant emotions instantly vanished at his words, and her frown quickly curled up and into a smile. Before she could respond, his lips were pressed against her own at a pressure that made her shudder from her head to her toes, and instantly her hands once again locked around his neck and into his hair.
Despite Landel's taking them from their homes and getting them almost killed every night, there was one good thing about being there. Edward, who always felt the need to hold back, could now touch her and hold her and kiss her without any reservations.
... Though, even if he could do such a thing, Bella couldn't help but wonder if he would actually sake the chance. Just because it was there didn't mean he would automatically let go of any fears he had, though. ... And that, she hated to admit, made her somewhat annoyed.
No matter. If he couldn't make the decision on his own then she would help him.

"You taste as good as ever," he complimented, pressing his forehead softly against hers. The warmth was quite soothing; it seemed to reach tiny fingers into his own skin, warming his head. He rather thought his early-day metaphors of her being like alcohol were ringing true: she was easy to get drunk off of. "I have a proposition for you. Would you like to come with me outside?" He still hadn't the chance to see if there was any wildlife outside. In case Venom's plan failed - for whatever reason, though the vampire was sincerely hoping it did not - he needed a plan B. If there weren't animals, he would starve. He couldn't risk the fountain alone because if anyone were in the chapel, they would be more promising food sources than a standing pool of cold blood was. Secondly: he missed outdoors. Edward might have detested some aspects of Forks, but its wilderness was not one of them. He craved the fragrances of grasses, trees, flora, fauna. It was just... in his blood, so to speak.
"We could see the stars," he added, wondering if it might be added incentive. Perhaps he could use them to divine what day it was. There was no telling how many hours he had spent unconscious before his awakening, if any.

Minus continuing to kiss and whatnot, but that was beside the point.
Untangling herself from Edward's reaching hands, Bella took a few steps away and reached into her pocket, grabbing her flashlight. She couldn't even remember when she placed it there - it must have been at his first kiss. Surely that was it.
"The stars, hm? Mr. Cullen, I do believe you're trying to get romantic with me," a smile, and the teenager moved towards the door, throwing it open before turning to look at him with that same happy smile. "Let's go."
