Kirk looked up as he always did when the intercom came on during dinner, as if it would be that easy to catch a glimpse of the man who presided over their captivity, and did so with such glee. CM-US trials. Without meaning to, he glanced at Admiral ZEX at those words, and away again when "re-trials" were mentioned. What did that mean? It wasn't

M65 meant that Peter had to go about halfway down the hall. He found the door in the same way that he had two nights ago, but this time he didn't bother knocking. Nathan had already made him wait too long. If his brother was okay and just hadn't bothered to let Peter knew that he was fine, then he didn't deserve to be treated without courtesy.
He burst into the room, flashlight shaking slightly from nerves. What he saw was one empty bed and one occupied, and Peter only needed a glimpse to know who it was.
"Nathan!" He rushed over, dropping his shovel (he'd pick it up later) and then kneeling down next to the bed. His brother was fast asleep, and it made Peter remember his first time here, and how he'd eventually disappeared. It'd been the same sort of thing, where he'd just slept so deeply that he couldn't be woken up.
"Nathan," Peter tried again, voice firm as he shook the older man's shoulders. It was nice to just see that he was okay and uninjured, but Peter knew that only mattered so much. This all probably meant Nathan was due for being brainwashed and dumped into a fake life again.
There was nothing he could do about it, though. No mind powers to wake him up, nothing. Peter gave one final, almost annoyed shove and then got to his feet again. This place was going to be the death of him, wasn't it? The only silver lining was that this meant that his brother would be safe in this room, where monsters never came. Until he was "released," at least.
"I'm sorry," he muttered, half to the sleeping body and half to himself as he moved back to pick up the shovel. He slung it over his shoulder with his good arm and gave Nathan one last, long look before turning and exiting the room.
His mood was more or less trashed, but all he could do was get back to the task at hand. Someone named Yamada was waiting for him in M7, and Peter didn't intend to be a no-show. He exhaled, trying to will the tension out of his shoulders, and then went back the way he'd come.
