Night 48: M61-M70 Hallway

Mar 22, 2010 19:05

Kirk looked up as he always did when the intercom came on during dinner, as if it would be that easy to catch a glimpse of the man who presided over their captivity, and did so with such glee. CM-US trials. Without meaning to, he glanced at Admiral ZEX at those words, and away again when "re-trials" were mentioned. What did that mean? It wasn't ( Read more... )

Finally, he could leave the cell and go kill something! HK had all his weapons gathered up and ready to stick them into something by the time the sneezy meatbag was done giving his... rather-perplexing-but-not-quite-interesting-enough-to-pay-attention-to announcement.

Out into the hallway, and he was immediately scanning for targets. his infrared capabilities unfortunately only revealed empty hallway. Oh well. He would just have to go somewhere else.

He'd been so happy this morning, being a Decepticon. The galaxy had since turned around and tried to grind them into the dirt, but killing something would cheer him up!

Prowl remained behind his door which was open, just the slightest bit. He'd waited there since the doors unlocked, knife in hand. The minute HK walked past, Prowl counted to five and quietly pulled the door open, creeping up behind and reaching out to hold HK's arms with one hand the press the knife to his throat.

HK thought he heard something, but he didn't turn fast enough before he could see the knife going towards his throat. Without thinking, he immediately twisted an arm away from the hand trying to grab his own and to grab the wrist of the hand holding the knife, attempting to stomp down on one of his attacker's feet, deciding he wasn't going to try and stab right now, instead then trying to twist away while keeping a grip on his attacker's wrist.

Prowl managed to twist his free hand away and grab HK's wrist so they each held one of the others. He smiled. "Impressive." He supposed he could see what Lockdown saw in HK. Obviously....not...all of it and he'd never go that far....

"It would seem Lugnut is aware of my presence."

HK froze for a moment as he realized who had attacked him. Unfortunately, he'd been right in his predictions. Now he had two Autobots that knew who and what he now was. Well, if one of them was to come after him, he supposed he preferred it to be Prowl. He seemed like he might be able to make any ensuing violence fun.

"Statement: I felt obligated to tell him. And regardless, his first priority is escape, not terminating you or the grouchy medic," HK replied, warily gauging his options as he spoke. "He even changed the pledge. To quote: 'I shall devote my spark to achieving our goal of escape and destruction of this place, and regaining our bodies,'" he repeated Lugnut's exact words, voice suddenly and completely contorting itself to match the other Decepticon's own.

Prowl released HK and stepped well out of reach when the other bot replicated Lugnut's voice and surprised him, not wanting HK to take advantage of the moment. He frowned. "That's not the point. And if he's so unconcerned, why the need to tell him at all?"

HK took a step back as well, gauging whether he should strike or not. This was eating into his time to kill things, after all, he wasn't keen on spending time pestering someone now. "Answer: He has proved to be a reliable and helpful ally. You have mostly just lied, and the last time I saw Lockdown, he was going to see you. Then he disappeared. I trust Lugnut more than I trust you."

"I had no reason to be honest," Prowl told him, flatly. "And if I'd been the one to finish Lockdown, believe me, I would not be ashamed of the fact or trying to hide it."

However... it did make one wonder....

"You saw him at the beginning of last night?" he asked, looking to HK's room. Where would Lockdown have gone? He didn't know where Prowl's room was.

"He would have gone upstairs," he concluded to himself.

"Statement: Well, then. I had no reason to trust you, either." This was just getting irritating, which was something he was supposed to cause, not experience. "Negatory: The last time I saw him was when he was leaving to find you. I did not see him at all yesterday, only the meatbag that had replaced him in my cell." He still hated that meatbag, just for existing. Maybe he could maim him just a little tomorrow...
