Klavier moved as quietly as he could through the door, immediately turning his light back on the scan the room. A mistake, it looked like. There were other people here as well. It was inevitable that people would be scattered throughout the building, but as to whether they were friend or foe wasn't something that could be immediately determined.
However, this time, he deemed it safe enough. These other people had to notice they were there, but they had decided against paying them much mind. He supposed, then, it wasn't worth much worry unless they began to approach them. He eyed them warily before turning back to Nigredo. There was a bit of hesitation regarding actually saying anything as of yet. Last thing he wanted was to blurt something that the others would overhear... or more, something that would spark interest and possible confrontation.
The heavy air lifted, and Nigredo almost breathed a sigh of relief. Almost, for they were still traversing on dangerous ground. Thankfully, they were both armed to the teeth while the freezer stood only a couple of rooms away. It shouldn't be too much trouble.
He looked up at Klavier and returned his look, understanding the lack of words despite their improving situation. The boy spared the other group a couple of glances and then continued toward the other end of the cafeteria.
"Right," Kagura replied as she moved up to cover Depth Charge's blind spot with her flashlight. She figured it'd be easier for him to cover the front if she had his back, and it wasn't that hard finding the way to the kitchen. All the patients should've known where it was because of all the meals they had here. However, the seats and tables that looked inviting during the day were now perfect spots for ambushes.
Things seemed to be going smoothing so far. They made it into the cafeteria without incident or notice by the man with the sword, as did another pair of patients. While Kagura and Depth charge took the area with caution, it seemed the other weren't so cautious. Well, Hime was fine with letting them enter the kitchen first and meet whatever might lurk behind those doors. Still, no point in lingering too long. Not far behind, the trio made their way into the kitchen.
This place spoke familiar and nothing else. His eyes tread lightly on the scenery and then passed. There was nothing here for him. He continued to walk forward. If this was her path, then she would do the same.
She simply nodded. Rika wasn't entirely sure why she was following at this point, but it was more than simple curiosity at this point. Chasing miracles? Who knew at this point?
Teresa took a moment to close the door behind her before looking the cafeteria over. It was very different in the dark, when there was no one there. This room was usually filled with chattering humans, youma and others, as if it was perfectly normal for the monsters to congregate with the humans. As if the humans didn't possess fear.
Sniffing in contempt, Teresa moved through the vacant room to the kitchen. At least Hime hadn't recruited youma into her merry band of minions. That, she might take issue with.
