All Sechs thought about was killing Will and wiping that infuriating smirk of his damn face once and for all. Nothing else crossed his mind. He had no idea about whatever traumas his despised roommate may have experienced in his life, nor did Sechs care; all he knew was that he was going to put the bastard out of his misery. The hint of laughter escaping from his foe only got Sechs' grip around his windpipe to tighten even more. "Die you bastard!!"

Without warning, Sechs' darkened vision was lit up by painful sparks as Will's hand came out from the darkness and struck him in the eyes. Intense pain instantly shot through his amber eyes and into his skull. The Replica couldn't stop the agonized holler from escaping him, nor could he keep his hands clutched around his target's throat. Throwing his hands up to his stung eyes, Sechs barely had a chance to react against Will when even more agony shot up from his thigh. The bastard had grabbed his stab wound! And right where the stitches were too! ARGH! DAMN HIM! Now his pained shouting came out as wordless roar that echoed throughout the hall.

Relenting away from the sharp grip on his leg, Sechs tumbled off Will and rolled over onto his side near the downed door. With a hand clasped over his wound, Sechs panted and growled like an injured beast as he struggled to upright himself. As he crawled up onto his knees, the Replica fought to open his battered eyes. Sechs could barely see in the dark with his pained and blurry vision, but he wasn't going to just blindly lay there and let Will get the next move on him! Hoping that the darkened figure before him wasn't a glitch in his afflicted eyes, Sechs swung his fist towards it, hoping to land a punch on his enemy.

As soon as Sechs released his throat Jason was fighting to get his breath back, teeth still bared in a vicious smirk. Adrenaline was surging through his veins, making his heart pound and his muscles surge with readiness. This was what he'd needed for days now. A real fight, not hacking fucking mindless zombies to pieces but an actual fight with an opponent who could feel pain.

He rolled into a crouch now that he wasn't pinned down, fighting to see the moron in the pitch black of the hallway through the spots still dancing in his vision from the lack of air. Sechs was kneeling up by the wall now, one hand protecting his injury while he struggled to open his eyes.

Jason barely had time to catch his breath again before Sechs was swinging wildly at him. The punch caught him in the shoulder, rocking him off-balance and forcing him to catch himself on his hands. Recovering quickly, Jason shoved himself to his feet and retaliated with a kick aimed at Sechs' head. Not that he expected hitting him in the head to do much - you needed a brain for that to hurt - but the rattling of his empty skull might disorient him long enough for Jason to teach him a much needed lesson.

Feeling his fist hit Will's shoulder instead of his head wasn't what Sechs aimed for but it did not discourage him. It only made him all the more determined to kill the lying, manipulative bastard once and for all! His hatred and pain sent his own mixture of adrenaline pumping into his system. In the midst of scrambling up to his feet, Sechs' recovering vision barely caught sight of Will's next attack.

Sechs ducked to the side to avoid the dark shape that blurred in towards him, but he wasn't fast enough to dodge it. Another light show exploded in his eyes as Will's foot connected with the side of his skull. He could feel his neck give out a soft crack as his head snapped away from the impact. It wasn't as bad as that one time during the Z.O.T.T when he was buried head-first into the ground by Niz, but it was still enough to painfully knock his brain chip out of order for a moment.

With a guttural moan, Sechs toppled over onto his side with a hand clutched into his scalp. Rolling over on his stomach, Sechs hissed and cursed with pain through his bared teeth. Most of his mind was dazed while his battle instincts screamed at him to get up. He had to keep fighting; he'd been through much worse damage than this! Yet all he could do was clumsily push himself up off the floor, only to flop back down with a groan.

With his head still aching and swimming from the abuse he'd taken so far Jason was slower to respond to Sechs' vulnerable state than he'd like. The idiot was flopping about on the floor like a dying fish and he had every intention of taking advantage of that.

He'd kept going while hurt far worse than this before and while he was in pain and still recovering his breath, Jason was used to being human and to pushing himself to his limits or beyond. It looked like Sechs still wasn't used to being flesh and blood instead of some stupid hunk of metal. "Having some trouble there?" he mocked, voice rough from Sechs' attempt at throttling him. "Why don't I give you a hand?"

Stepping over to him, Jason moved to drop down onto Sechs' back, one knee digging into the moron's kidney. That left him a little off-balance as his other foot rested by the idiot's arm arm but he didn't expect Sechs to be collecting what wits he had any time soon to do anything to throw him. And not ever if he had his way as he reached for Sechs' hair, intent on slamming his head into the ground a few times to see if it echoed.

For a nauseating moment Sechs' dark world seemed to spin around him like a thrill ride gone out of control. With his combative nature loudly demanding his stunned brain to catch up with it, Sechs could hear the muffled sounds of his opponent approaching him. It was when Will's voice gained clarity in his head did Sechs find himself recovering from his stunned state. Unfortunately his lucidity came too late for him to react before Will's next move.

"Fuck you!" he hoarsely growled as his body cringed with its efforts to get up, "I don't need any -- ARGGHH!!" The heavy weight that plowed into Sechs' side abruptly cut his snarling off short. He then gave out another yell of pain as Will's foot crushed into his arm.

Now the Replica was shot back into frantic alertness. He thrashed underneath Will, his free arm reaching out to claw into the floor while his legs kicked behind. His breathing began to come out in ravaged gasps as Will's oppressing weight crowded into his diaphragm. He needed some leverage with his arm and legs to throw off the bastard's balance, but it was like trying to get an over sized monkey off his back! And Sechs thought that metal primate Koen he fought against along with Getz in the Z.O.T.T was bad enough...

Yet before he got the chance to assert himself against Will, Sechs felt the other man's hand clutch tightly into his hair. The Replica barely had a chance to yelp before his head received yet another good pummeling, this time against the unforgiving hard floor.

One slam... Two slams... Three slams...! With the savage impacts piercing into his skull, Sechs could have sworn he felt blood emerging on his forehead. More stars and flashes sparkled in his vision while everything started to spin around him once again. No! He had to... make Will... stop...!

Before his head was given a fourth bashing, Sechs' combative will endeavored through the damage, sending another wave of berserk energy into his muscles. With a grunt of effort, Sechs pushed himself against the floor with his free hand and forcefully tucked in his knees. Letting out a vociferous bellow, Sechs launched himself upwards, attempting to buck his assailant off his back towards the wall beside them. "GEROFF!!"

"Sorry, I don't do idiots," Jason replied calmly, chuckling at Sechs' yells of pain as he pinned the asshole down, making sure to grind down hard on his arm to make him holler again. It was surprising no one had heard the noise and come to investigate yet - Sechs couldn't open his mouth without shouting and Jason wasn't trying to be any quieter. They probably all wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble, there was enough other shit trying to kill them without looking for more. Fine by him.

Even with all the thrashing about Jason still got a nice firm grip on Sechs' hair so he could start slamming that thick skull against the hard floor until it cracked. "What do you know?" he commented over the sound of Sechs' head smacking into the ground a second time. "It does echo." He didn't think Sechs would actually hear him - getting knocked around like that made it difficult to hear what was going on around you but that was no reason not to keep laughing at the idiot.

After only a few blows Sechs started thrashing again, more purposefully this time. Jason didn't expect him to be able to do much with how he was pinned down but he might have underestimated Sechs. Somehow he got his knees under him, getting up off the ground even with Jason's full weight on him. Jason sure as hell hadn't been expecting to get thrown off and into the wall. His back hit it with a solid 'smack!' making pain flare up from the bruises there from earlier and forcing a hiss out of him. His arms came up defensively to ward off any attacks, though whether the moron would be up to moving yet wasn't certain.

There was a breathless pause as Jason recovered himself, the hallway startling silent without the shouts and sounds of combat that had been echoing about moments before.

Freed from Will's excruciating hold, Sechs quickly scrambled up onto his hands and knees as he shot a toothy snarl at his enemy. The momentary silence that engulfed the two seemed to shudder in the air along with Sechs' labored breaths that he could barely repress. That minuscule amount of time was just barely enough for Sechs' head to slowly stop spinning and his vision to refocus. Sechs wasn't finished just yet and it wasn't long before the unnerving quiet was broken once more.

"It's gonna take way more than that to keep me down!" Sechs panted as he stumbled back to his feet. His head pounded with pain while a trickle of blood could be felt trailing down into his eyebrows. What little light there was in the hallway reflected off the Replica's infuriated face and his wolfish eyes, giving him the sharpened appearance of beastly creature set to pounce upon its prey. He was going to make the lying bastard pay dearly for what he had done to him!

By the looks of it, Will had not expected Sechs to topple him over like that. Niz had underestimated Sechs as well. The jackass thought that wrapping Sechs up toughened straps and then plowing him headfirst into the ground would be enough to keep the Replica down. Even when Sechs managed to free himself from the rubble and continue his attacks, even with the straps still bound around his body, Niz didn't grasp Sechs' lethal potential until it was too late. It was what lead to his downfall and this time Sechs had every intention of bringing a similar fate to Will.

Seeing the bastard attempt to defend himself with his back to the wall, Sechs wanted nothing more than to use a Panzer Kunst attack on Will, but knew he couldn't risk another backlash that could disable him all over again. Snapping his head to the side to release a loud crackle from his spine, Sechs stomped over to where Will laid and hatefully glared down at his target. He would just have to beat him to death the slow and difficult way; not that it mattered, as long as he killed the bastard Sechs expected nothing more but personal satisfaction on his end.

Snarling, Sechs aimed a powerful kick past his defensive arms and in towards Will's gut. Once he gave Will a second to savour all the anger and pain that Sechs vented out through his kick, he then dropped down to a crouch. "Still find this funny now, you fucking clown?!" he barked in his face. Grabbing Will by his shoulders, Sechs attempted to lift Will high enough for his knee to shoot up and smash into the bastard's skull.

Winded yet again, this time by the kick the slammed into his gut and knocked him back against the wall, Jason could do nothing but lie on the floor and struggle to breathe, tasting blood again - or maybe still, he wasn't sure. He watched as Sechs came over to crouch in front of him, still barking and carrying on like the stupid mutt he was.

When Sechs grabbed his shoulders to haul him upright Jason was ready and gave him a little help, getting his feet under him and shoving himself upright. He couldn't avoid the knee entirely and it slammed into his chest drawing a pained snarl from him. But even as spots danced in front of his eyes Jason struck out again, aiming for the same injured leg he'd hit before while he drove the heel of his other hand at the moron's chin.

"Oh it's hilarious asshole," Jason sneered through his panting. "'The brainless little robot who thought he could.' Too bad that only works out in fairy tales. I'm sure they have a nice spot on the scrapheap ready for you."

Sechs might have been a 'battle android' and spent his time fighting in his stupidly named tournaments but Jason had grown up on the streets of Gotham, fighting every day to survive. Being taken in by Batman had just taught him to fight harder and dying made him even more determined not to go down without a fight. He might have underestimated Sechs earlier but it would take more than this idiot could dish out to send him back to the grave.

There was a grunt of pain and another muffled sound of a spine cracking as Sechs' head jerked back from the strike. The pain surging up from his leg wound didn't help matters much either. Growling, he stumbled back until he was leaned up against the other wall that opposed Will. Arms spread out to support himself off the wall, Sechs already shifted into an open stance that was ready to pounce back at his roommate at a moments notice. He kept most of his weight off his injured leg, bearing with the ache that was now flaring up from Will's jab at it. Like his opponent, Sechs' pained breaths came out in haggard gasps. His yellow eyes glared so intensely at Will that they could almost shoot daggers at him.

Sechs came from some pretty unfriendly neighborhoods himself. The hellish dystopia of the Scrapyard with all its corruption, violence and chaos, was topped by the oppressive yet aloof rule of Tiphares, while nearly endless stretches of deserts and badlands surrounded the dirty slum into a claustrophobic state. Sechs had spent his first two years in such an environment, surviving through its grungy metal jungles while hunting down all his Replicas... Well, nearly all of them. Tiphares and Ketheres weren't any better, despite taking on a more orderly and so-called enlightened appearance. It was still just as dangerous and nefarious. And he survived it all!

Yet the word scrapheap sent Sechs' mind crashing back into memories of the towering heap that defined the Scrapyard as the literal bottom of society's food chain. Darkened by the harsh sun behind it, the enormous pile was littered with every sort of scrap and cybernetic part imaginable, each of them scavenged through by both black market sellers and cybertechs searching for a spare part or two; all of which was overlooked by monstrous earth-moving machines, gobbling up the unfortunate garbage and then crunching them down into near nothingness. The image not only burned in Sechs' mind but it only fed into his nearly blind rage. "You'll NEVER find me in that mountain of garbage!" he shouted, not caring whether Will understood what he was talking about or not. Sechs was too infuriated to bother with that Will knew about his origins; it wasn't going to matter once he killed the bastard.

Propelling himself off the wall, Sechs blurred towards Will with the intentions of launching precise multiple attacks on him. With a fist surging towards Will's head, Sechs readied to strike or feint his first punch at the last second, followed by another fist targeting his rib cage and a round kick aiming to strike Will in the waist to knock him over.

Wetting his lips - and there was more blood from his split lip and bloodied nose though he barely noticed it any more - Jason smirked across the hall at Sechs. If looks could kill they'd both be getting pretty damn cold by now.

He snorted at Sechs' shrieked response. The words meant nothing to him, though he could've guessed what Sechs was ranting about now if he cared to, but that didn't stop the moron from having his fits. And it didn't stop Jason from mocking him further. "You're probably already there - or at least the hunk of junk you used to inhabit is." The whole idea of moving what passed for Sechs' mind into another body was a little far-fetched but Jason had seen weirder shit than that. And it didn't matter whether or not he bought into it, Sechs did and that was enough.

Jason's arms came up as Sechs charged him, blocking the feint at his head and just barely twisting away from the jab at his ribs. The kick caught him completely off-guard, slamming into his side and making him curse internally since he didn't have the breath to spare on swearing out loud. Jason was knocked him to the side and he only just managed to catch himself on one hand, flipping back onto his feet again though jumping about like that made his head throb with pain. He closed in on his opponent again, retaliating with a jab at the idiot's gut to distract him followed by a knee aimed at his groin.

The more Will taunted the Replica, the more his eyes flashed with rage like a fire being fed gasoline. "Sh-SHUT UP!!" he shouted with a hint of desperation in his voice. Even though Sechs' first TUNED body had to be left behind after it was destroyed by Alita in the past, now the very concept of him being thrown out in some manner deeply vexed him. NO! The bastard was just lying and screwing around with him! Sechs' body and everything else he owned were just stored somewhere in the institute! It wasn't thrown out! He was going to get his android body back and turn the institute into nothing but a smoldering pile of rubble and kill everyone responsible for its workings. Will was going to be the first on his death list!

Figuring his enemy would pull off another acrobatic retaliation, Sechs swiftly grasped Will's jabbing hand before it could hit its mark. Tightening his hateful grip around his foe's wrist, Sechs snapped at the bastard's face, "you think a slow-ass move like that would--"

But he wasn't able to finish his sentence when Will's knee crashed into its target. For a blinding moment, Sechs uttered nothing; while his mouth hung open, only a silent howl of agony was expressed on his face. Eyes nearly bulging from the horrendous new kind of pain he was experiencing, Sechs released Will's arm and stumbled back, nearly doubled over in pain as he just barely regained his footing.

SHIT!! Why didn't anyone tell Sechs about... THAT problem when he transferred to a male cyborg body?! DAMMIT! The pain was unbelievable!

It would have been nice if he could just lie down and wait for the agony to go away, but the attack sent a whole fresh wave of berserk fury into his system. "YOU'RE DEAD! YOU HEAR ME?! DEAD!!" he roared at the top of his lungs.

Charging forward with deranged speed, the infuriated (and very sore) Replica threw a multitude of blurring punches that relentlessly surged at Will's face, whether the bastard kept still or not. Sechs was going to chase him down and pummel the very daylights out of the sick creep! The bastard had lived long enough in Sechs' opinion!

Now that was more like it. Maybe being an android meant Sechs didn't normally have certain vulnerabilities that humans did - it wasn't like he'd have needed them. Jason was happy to educate him on the differences between being a walking scrapheap and human. In fact, he almost felt bad about taking such a low blow.... well, not really.

He did regret not taking advantage of the idiot while he was distracted. Sechs recovered faster than Jason would've thought possible. Damn it! What was it going to take to finally finish this?

Sechs was on him again even faster than he'd recovered. The first punch caught him full in the face, making him stagger back a step though Sechs stayed right on him. If Jason's nose hadn't been broken before it was now. The next felt like it damn near cracked his jaw and made sure he wasn't going to have to listen to the idiot's bellowing for a while as the ringing in his ears easily overwhelmed it. After that he couldn't separate the individual punches any more, just aware of the smack of fists striking flesh and the accompanying bursts of more intense pain.

Fuck, fuck, fuck! This wasn't going his way - fucking understatement. He needed some goddamn distance to give himself a chance to recover.

Head spinning too much for any kind of acrobatics, Jason lashed out blindly, kicking at Sechs to try and force him back long enough for Jason to recover himself. He only needed a second and then he'd be back to pounding this moron's face in.

Sechs quickly parried the kick with his knee, protecting himself from another possible low blow but the impact still managed to halt his barrage of punches. Stumbling back a few steps, Sechs took a moment to catch his breath. His savage yellow eyes stayed firmly locked onto his target while streaks of blood and sweat trickled down his face.

"How often do you like to bullshit people and use them to you own sick advantage, you fucking creep!?" Sechs panted. He briefly turned his head to the side and boorishly spat at the floor. "When I'm through with you, not even the most desperate black marketer from the lowest, slimiest slums of the Scrapyard would want to sell what's left of ya!"

He charged forward once more, his gait showing signs of pain and fatigue, and swung a wide kick that aimed to throw his target down to the floor. If Sechs could just bring Will down and get his arms around his neck, he'd snap the bastard's worthless spine in two! Regular humans couldn't live without their spines intact, right?

Panting Jason hoarsely sneered back "Aww did I shatter your little world?" Pausing he spat blood at the floor then went on, "What the hell do you think people are like? Everyone in the world is a fucking liar who'll just use you up and spit you out. It's just so much easier with a worthless idiot like you. Don't blame me because you were stupid enough to fall for it." It seemed like every time Sechs opened his mouth he came up with something even more stupid to say. And the moron just kept going on about shit Jason didn't know or care about, because he was too stupid to remember that he wasn't in fucking Kansas any more.

The only thing Jason could almost - respect wasn't the word but damned if he cared to find something better at the moment - was the way Sechs just kept coming at him. Neither one of them was going to stop until one of them was dead.

Sechs charged at him again and this time Jason moved too slow to dodge the idiot's attack. The kick knocked his legs out from under him, landing him hard on the ground. He immediately tried to roll aside and get some distance between them before Sechs could do anything else but he knew he was moving too damn slow. Dammit, he was getting too sluggish!

"Tell me something I don't know!" Sechs snapped as his amber eyes gave out another enraged flash in the darkness, "I know the world is full of liars and cheats! I don't need a damn lecture about it!"

His kick hits its mark, sending Will to the floor and a wave of satisfaction throughout the android's being. Sechs uttered out a hoarse chuckle as he limped towards his downed foe. He had the jackass now... "But you know something? I got fed up with trying to figure out how the world works. I find the truth through fighting!" With those words, Sechs sent another kick into Will's chest, knocking the wind out of the bastard for good measure. "All the bullshit and hypocrisy gets blown away after a battle!" he growled, a hint of a grin slowly emerging upon his bloody lips, "through victory or defeat, the truth always reveals itself!"

Dropping down to one knee, Sechs roughly pulled Will from behind and wrapped his arms tightly around his neck. The Replica's relentless stranglehold kept Will from taking another jab at his eyes or injured leg. He wasn't letting the bastard escape this time. Hands clenching unto the sides of Will's head, Sechs readied his aching muscles to drive the final push into twisting his opponent's head until his worthless spine would snap. He growled into Will's ear before making the last move. "...and I think I got a pretty good idea on what truth I'm gonna get out of this! You and all your bullshit are finished!"

[skipping from here]

With surprising speed on his crutches, Frank turned the corner to see what was going on. To his surprise, he recognized one of the patients - Forte had spoken to him, and he had a similar delusion about fighting robots, and tournaments. And now, somehow unsurprisingly, he was choking another patient, screaming about truth or some crap.

"...what the fuck is going on here!?"
