"We'll beet again," Alkaid said finally, her last nasal words before Hinamori's hand glanced across her shoulder, and landed on the cast. She turned to look pointedly into the hallway; she didn't know when the blood was going to start, or if it was going to hurt, or anything.
It was a minute of bracing herself, stiffening up considerably as she smelled the blood that was beginning to drip down from Hinamori's nose, like a fine wine before a good human-thigh steak. Or - ugh, why was it taking so long? Each second was utterly agonizing in regards to her willpower, and Alkaid found her breathing growing a little ragged. She kept telling herself to wait just a little bit longer, and then... the glow faded, and a push sent her forward a couple of steps.
The click of the door sounded behind her, and the smell of delicious blood thankfully went away, leaving Alkaid's tummy rumbling. She supposed there was no way to take off the cast, even though the bone was healed, but now she knew that she could take a hit or two without complications. And the cast would act as armor until she got it off.
Ah... healed! Excellent. She'd have to find something nice to do for Hinamori sometime, in return.
"Thank you, shinigami," Alkaid called through the door. "Won't forget it."
And then she was gone. She had a wild Haseo to track down.
Alkaid's words drifted to Momo as she leaned against the inside of her door, cloth to her nose as she staunched the blood flow. Maybe she should introduce Alkaid to Hokuto. The two of them seemed to possess the same spunk. Then again, maybe they wouldn't get along because of that. Huh. She could actually see them getting into arguments over silly things.
Ah, to be young again...
Rubbing her temple, she checked her nose to find the bleeding had stopped. Good. This meant she could get going to meet Shikamaru's group. She didn't want to keep them waiting any more than necessary. Taking Laevatein up, Momo wrapped the broken blade in cloth whispering an apology to the weapon, before stowing it away under her mattress. It felt weird leaving it in the room, but as long as it was damaged, there was no reason to bring it along.
Situating her katana across her back, Momo was ready to go and a quick glance outside told her Alkaid had moved on. Quietly, Momo headed out.
