Evening heralded the return of the doctor. So, it seemed all was not well with the nightmare asylum. Another dreamer trying to spoil the fantasy? It hardly mattered to Hime; while these were points of interest to note, her concerns were far more immediate than caring about who she was facing off against. She needed to arm herself, and with more than just an unimpressive and not particularly sharp kitchen knife. A bludgeoning weapon would probably even serve better than this, for range if nothing else. Despite her complaints, she took the knife in hand, her flashlight gripped in the other as she headed out into the night.

Tonight, she intended to kill something nasty. She just needed something nastier to kill it with.

Quickly rummaging through her drawer, she pulled out her flashlight and metal stirring spoon. Last night, the boys spent the whole night consoling her. This time, she didn't want to be a burden. After all, the only time they could get things done was at night. She was still disturbed by the Syaoran "clone" who had appeared before her but decided to shelve those emotions for now. There would be more time for discussion during the daytime.

Strangely, before Sakura could return to her room, the nurses stopped and guided the young girl to a new room. All of her belongings had already been moved, which made her wonder just how much the staff already knew about their nighttime pursuits. They must have know, right, but then why didn't they try to stop them?

Either way, the boys would probably visit the wrong room tonight since she hadn't been able to tell them about her relocation. Thus, she decided to stand at the doorway and signal to them when they came. At least she knew they would come to the right hall.

[for Utena]

Tennie was only a few doors away, which was prety lucky when Harley considered how big this place was. It was like they were neighbors! The thought made Harley happy, a good start for a good evening, and she spread a big grin as she rapped the door with a jovial, musical rhythm most recognized as that beat you respond to with two raps.

"Guess who!" she called out.

"Harley! Hey!" Utena said with a relieved smile. After the state she had been in for most of the day, it was good to meet up with someone in such a good mood. She opened the door for the blonde girl, letting her inside. "Hope you had a better day than I did," she said, heading for the closet to fetch the iron poker. "It's been a bit stressful to say the least."

Harley followed Tennie into the room, looking around a bit curiously but losing interest when she realized it was no different from her own. However, her smiled turned into a small, slightly confused frown. "You, too? I seen a lotta people actin' all sad and mopey today. Sounds like everyone's been havin' a rough time lately."

That was kind of a given in a place like this, but upsetting things only happened to regular people, not the ones she cared about. She didn't like thinking about Tennie or any of her friends being sad cause of this stupid place.

Her face brightened with an encouraging smile. "Don't you worry! Things can only get better, right? We got all night to make up for it. 'Sides, I got you your Christmas present right here!" She arranged her items so she was holding the schmitar with one hand, holding it up like she was presenting the super special prize of the day. "Ta da!"

Martin Landel wasn't feeling well? Oh darn.

Clad in her shinigami uniform, the vice captain's badge once more affixed to her upper left arm, Momo sat on her bed as she waited for the star-crossed girl to arrive. She'd already taken a sheet and ripped it into strips, knowing she would need one when she was done healing the girl. If the girl was infected with the zombie syndrome and was incapable of controlling it, perhaps she would decline the shinigami's healing once she knew the effects it had on Momo. Normally, Momo wouldn't be so worried about it, but few things prompted a zombie more than fresh blood.

As she waited, Momo took a spare piece of cloth and the remaining water from her dinner to Laevatein's blade. The carbon scoring wasn't coming off, but she would at least clean her own blood (and that of the undead knight) from the blade.

Shaking any thoughts of rascally redheads from her mind, Alkaid finally turned the corner, keeping her pace at a light jog - it was a decent warmup speed, and one she kept as she arrived in front of the door, jogging in place for a few seconds before knocking firmly on the door.

She didn't want to waste any more of this person's time than she really had to. Especially if they somehow.. knew who she was, or something. Who the hell knew that much about astronomy otherwise?

Hearing the knock on the door, Momo set her cleaning rag aside and rose to answer the door. The blackened and damaged sword was still in her hand, down at her side, when she answered the door.

Finding a red-headed girl around Hokuto's age outside her door, the cast on her arm clearly telling her this was the star-crossed girl, Momo gave her a smile. "You were not exaggerating when you said you'd arrive quickly," Momo said, stepping back to allow the girl entrance. "Welcome."

Alkaid wasn't exactly sure who to expect when she saw the door open. She didn't normally interact with too many ladies here - the Landel's dance floor had a marked history of too many dicks - but she was halfway certain she'd seen this woman before, maybe running down a hallway at night or just sitting around somewhere during dayshift.

She nodded, then dropped her flashlight and bat in her pillowcase, just to have a hand free to do... whatever was required of her. For now, she waved.

"Yep! Arms are shot to hell, but my legs are just fine. Be sure not get too close - I might bite!" She shrugged off the admittedly painful zombitis, then stepped into the room, glancing around. She'd never been in another patient's room before, come to think of it. She was always out and about during nights, after all ( ... )

Euphy's room was in the hallway next to her own, so Teresa took little time in arriving before the girl's door. Gently grasping the long strand of random sized beads in her left hand, the hybrid knocked with her right.

Massacre Princess. We shall see.

Euphemia answered the door promptly, not wanting to keep Teresa from waiting too long. She couldn't help feeling a moment's nervousness, though - after the conversation with that strange boy at lunch, and after everything had happened with Lelouch and Suzaku before that, it was a natural reaction.

"Hello," she said, smiling as she opened the door. "How are you doing tonight?"

"I am doing well," Teresa replied, stepping inside as Euphy greeted her. "I hope the day has found you the same."

Silver eyes swept over the room, noting it was exactly the same as her own. Unsurprising. "Your roommate has already left or are you alone in here?"

The second tray of food told the warrior the answer, but she asked anyways.

"My roommate left a few minutes ago," she answered, with a small smile and a bit of a bow. "I'm also doing well. Or...as well as can be expected. Last night was truly frightening. I witnessed..."

She trailed off for a moment. Her promise to Lelouch about not revealing his identity was still good here, even if nothing else was.

"I witnessed a dear friend's 'death'. It was a truly frightening thing to see. I hope that the same didn't happen to you."

In her room, Kaoru woke up slowly. The smell of food in the dark room told her what had happened. For one reason or another, she'd slept through the entire day since the evening before. Kaoru stumbled out of bed, her hair loose and a bit messy, and opened the door to her room.

"Mmm, Kenshin?" she rubbed her eyes and looked at him again. "What happened, what's wrong?" Her brain moved sluggishly, trying to remember just what had happened the evening before. It trickled back slowly - him hearing voices, dying in her arms and Kaoru scrambled back from the door, afraid. "You... you died last night!" Maybe she was still dreaming. she had to be, no one came back from the dead.

Kaoru, unsure if she felt shocked or excited, returned the hug awkwardly with her face in his unwounded shoulder. "You were worried?" she gasped, wanting to laugh and cry at him. Tonight, punching him through a wall would not be an option.

"I was worried!" Kaoru held him tighter than she had, as relief rushed through her veins and made her head feel light.
