He probably would have been able to see whatever-that-was coming if he'd been looking in the right direction. Was this one of the monsters, or the brainwashed people? ...Or just some guy in a weird suit? ...It was kind of hard to tell when you came from somewhere where all the monsters talked and brightly colored things coming outta nowhere were pretty much routine.

The silver haired man turned to Beelzemon, "Think he's one of the brainwashed ones?" He then turned back to the costumed man and raised his hand invitingly, "Wanna play?"

"Heh. Should've figured that'd be yer first response." He didn't think Loz ever meant it in a bad way, it was just... Loz. He'd help out if the answer turned out to be 'yes', anyway.

Loz turned to Beelzemon to smile and say, "You bet." He turned back to the costumed man and got into a fighting stance, "C'mon, play with me... er, us." He wanted Beelzemon to have fun too, after all.

He charged in as fast as he could on human legs, given just a little extra boost by anger, taking a hard swing at the costume guy with his flashlight. Even if he got hit, that never stopped him! Not until his data was falling apart, and like hell he was gonna let it get that far for anyone here.

Not one to give up that easily, Loz got to his feet, though he did wince at the pain in his chest, and gathered himself. The Remnant shot forward, using his powers and glowing blue again. He reached the man within about three seconds, ready to punch him in the face.

"What th--" The last bit of the startled reaction to whatever that sticky stuff pulling at him was cut off by getting suddenly punched in the stomach, driving all the air out of him with a winded "Oof!"
...Man, Loz could hit.

The Remnant pulled his friend away from their attacker, aimed a quick kick at him, and leapt back a little. Loz looked at his friend with worry, seemingly forgetting about the costumed man, "Beelzemon! Are you okay? Oh gods, I'm sorry!"

"Come on, now tha's just insulting," he glared at the red and blue guy. As if he'd get scared off by this. "I'm not goin' unless Loz wants to."

The Remnant stood up and also glared at the other guy. "I'm not backing down!" Though his chest still hurt and he was starting to exhaust himself from using his speed powers, he still charged at the red and blue man, trying to punch him again. He was really wishing he still had his Materia and Duel Hound right now.
