Night 43: Sun Room

Aug 29, 2009 19:45

[from here]Finally, the Sun Room. Unlike the hallways, this one actually had some light in it. Specifically, moonlight coming from the big window on the ceiling. It did help to have some light, but the big, dark room washed in moonlight didn't exactly make the place look too inviting ( Read more... )

This place looked a lot weirder at night, but at least it wasn't totally dark like the rest of everywhere. "Well, we can just wai--What in th' heck is that?!"

He probably would have been able to see whatever-that-was coming if he'd been looking in the right direction. Was this one of the monsters, or the brainwashed people? ...Or just some guy in a weird suit? ...It was kind of hard to tell when you came from somewhere where all the monsters talked and brightly colored things coming outta nowhere were pretty much routine.

Loz yelped and jumped out of his seat when the voice whispered into his ear. The Remnant whipped around, seeing some guy in a bright red and blue costume hanging upside down. Loz couldn't help but think the costume looked kinda funny.

The silver haired man turned to Beelzemon, "Think he's one of the brainwashed ones?" He then turned back to the costumed man and raised his hand invitingly, "Wanna play?"

"I dunno. Probably." Just because he hadn't seen anyone running around today in that... thing. Costume. Whatever. He might have been drugged and confused, but he definitely would have noticed.

"Heh. Should've figured that'd be yer first response." He didn't think Loz ever meant it in a bad way, it was just... Loz. He'd help out if the answer turned out to be 'yes', anyway.

'Monopoly'? 'Broadway'? This guy was starting to sound as weird as Alex. How many people with weird ways of talking did this place have? Oh well, as long as he was fun...

Loz turned to Beelzemon to smile and say, "You bet." He turned back to the costumed man and got into a fighting stance, "C'mon, play with me... er, us." He wanted Beelzemon to have fun too, after all.

"HEY!" Now he didn't see anything wrong with a fight as long as nobody got really messed up, but one thing he couldn't stand was seeing his friends get hit.

He charged in as fast as he could on human legs, given just a little extra boost by anger, taking a hard swing at the costume guy with his flashlight. Even if he got hit, that never stopped him! Not until his data was falling apart, and like hell he was gonna let it get that far for anyone here.

Loz grunted in pain as the force of the kick sent him flying backwards and landing on his back. That hurt! Loz put a hand to his chest, trying to ease the pain. He didn't understand, it shouldn't have hurt this badly.

Not one to give up that easily, Loz got to his feet, though he did wince at the pain in his chest, and gathered himself. The Remnant shot forward, using his powers and glowing blue again. He reached the man within about three seconds, ready to punch him in the face.

He felt the hit connect at least a bit, but that wasn' any reason to slow down, though with that blue glow he could see coming, it was a good idea to get out of the--

"What th--" The last bit of the startled reaction to whatever that sticky stuff pulling at him was cut off by getting suddenly punched in the stomach, driving all the air out of him with a winded "Oof!"

...Man, Loz could hit.

Loz's eyes widened as much as they could as his punch connected with Beelzemon instead of the other guy. "Oh gods!"

The Remnant pulled his friend away from their attacker, aimed a quick kick at him, and leapt back a little. Loz looked at his friend with worry, seemingly forgetting about the costumed man, "Beelzemon! Are you okay? Oh gods, I'm sorry!"

Well, he hadn't totally fallen over, but he was still on all fours, trying to catch his breath. "I'm good!" he wheezed, giving Loz a thumbs-up. "Remind me... not ta block onna those with my stomach next time..." He got up as quick as he could, just remembering to snatch his flashlight up too.

"Come on, now tha's just insulting," he glared at the red and blue guy. As if he'd get scared off by this. "I'm not goin' unless Loz wants to."

Loz gave a little chuckle, though he was still a bit shaken by what he had done, "Yeah, I'll remind you."

The Remnant stood up and also glared at the other guy. "I'm not backing down!" Though his chest still hurt and he was starting to exhaust himself from using his speed powers, he still charged at the red and blue man, trying to punch him again. He was really wishing he still had his Materia and Duel Hound right now.
