The sun was starting to set, and it was with a heavy sigh that Edgeworth stepped out of Twin Pines and out onto the street. The tea had helped, but there was still a sense of worry that he couldn't shake. There was, of course, the entire situation with Franziska, but now both Javert and this new person calling themselves 'Justice' were in the

The day had waned far faster than she had thought. Had her thoughts really consumed her that much? Renamon breathed a 'heh' to herself, shaking her head. She needed to move forward, add some production to her time here, other than gaining half-useful information and downing giant snakes.
She slid her gaze back to the man near him, noted his apparent melancholy, and instantly felt apologetic. This was not something she wanted to attribute to. Renamon skirted the 'important' comment, unknowing if that was dropped on purpose or on accident. If the latter, her silence could allow him to keep his pride on that matter. "Help me, hmm?" She wondered aloud.
The nickname hadn't even registered. It had came out like something familiar and flowed off of her just the same. Nothing changed. "There is something, maybe," she continued, pausing briefly in the street. The Digimon folded her arms across her chest, for a moment looking unsure. That could have been a trick of the half-fading light, however, because the moment after she was her carefully neutral self. Renamon tipped her head curiously. "I haven't been as useful as I'd like to be lately. Until I reorganize my priorities, would you be against my lending any use I have to your group? I'm sure I could find something I could assist you in."

There was a bit of relief at Renamon's suggestion. It was something he could do. The rest... he couldn't bring back those who had left, and he knew that both of them didn't want to have people return to this nightmare.
"I don't see why anyone would," Jiraiya answered truthfully. "We'd be happy to have you."
That way, he could help her. That way, she wouldn't be alone. That way, she'd find a new support network. He smiled softly at her.
"You get along with Naruto well enough, so I think you'd be able to work with the others, too," Jiraiya seemed to perk up a bit as he spoke now that they were on another subject.

Renamon let out a sigh of relief that she didn't know she was holding. She nodded, eyes a little less weighted than before. "Good," she replied. "I'll try my best to assist you."
The Digimon nodded again. "Sakura seems..." For lack of a better word... "Nice. And Kakashi is very intelligent. I enjoy talking to him. I don't know the other two... Sasuke and Sai, but I should be able to adapt however is needed." Her preference was not with teams, but she had fought alongside Guilmon and Terriermon enough to be used to it.
That thought brought a twinge, and Renamon swallowed abruptly, careful to not show anything on her face. She had been careful to think of no one but Rika... and sometimes Impmon... and the fact that she missed the others came as a surprise. Guilmon's loyal idiocy. Terriermon's smart-mouth bothering. She didn't think she would mind either at the moment. "Yes," she murmured suddenly. "I'd rather have something to do tonight."
To keep her mind off of the past.

"Sasuke isn't formally of our group anymore--he left our village a few years back. Naruto and Sakura are intent on bringing him back home, however--and Kakashi, too," Jiraiya explained before smiling softly. "There's also Shikamaru, now--Naruto says that although he's lazy, he's also a genius."
He saw how vulnerable she was at the moment, and didn't draw any attention to it--it was the swallow he noticed, as she hadn't let anything else show, and someone who hadn't known her as well could have easily missed it. So he kept on talking, letting her have a moment. Jiraiya touched her upper back very briefly, just to say he was there for her, but he didn't let it linger. The last thing Renamon needed was to realize he was a pervert.
Although she would probably become much more lively when beating his skull in.
"We'll be glad to have you," Jiraiya stated, smiling at her reassuringly. "I can give you a quick tutorial on a few of our hand signals and the like...."
