Night 37: Outside the Institute - North

There was fog, and not much else immediately visible to Sanosuke. Of course, that was largely due to the fact that he didn't have his flashlight. He'd really have to try and remember to find out just how those tube things worked sometime during the day. Maybe Ninja Girl, or maybe Akihiko. Sanosuke really needed to introduce the guy to Kenshin and Yahiko anyway, if only because he was a fun person to be around.
But the more immediate problem of not being able to see was a concern. Sanosuke's eyes were beginning to adjust to the darkness a little, but not enough to make much difference. He took a few steps away from the wall, then looked up, calling out to the guys he knew were going to follow him down.
"Hey Kenshin, Yahiko. Neither of you two better land on me, all right?" That wasn't something Sanosuke really wanted to happen, even if they were both short and light.
