Nightshift 21: Room M28
Ed finished his meal and then sprawled back onto the bed, stretching languidly and running possible arrays through his head. He wasn't used to having to use them. Having them held in his mind instinctively was one thing, but it was different to have to try and make them real on paper. The shapes didn't always seem to make sense when they were written.
He glanced at the door, willing someone to arrive. Inactivity chafed at him, made him impatient to be exploring and doing something useful.
Well, he could do at least one useful thing, right?
He closed his eyes, letting his mind drift. Just a quick nap before people arrived. He ought to grab whatever he could while he had chance, since his nap in the Sun Room earlier had been interrupted.
Slowly, Ed drifted off to sleep.
