And to her right, there were other doors as well, which she had vaguely noticed earlier in the day but paid no mind to. Oh decisions, decisions. Should she

The lucentien kept on its slow path, determined and deliberate in its movements. It had its prey in its sights, and it wanted it. The dim ambient light of the hallway illuminated its gold claws as it moved forward to strike at the lone woman in the hall.

Her eyes darted around first and, seeing nothing better around her to pick up and fight with, she readied the solid, black object she had found under her pillow, hoping to bash the thing's head in when she was able to get in at the right angle. "Come at me, you wretch. I dare you," she snarled with a menacing grin.

The monster wanted blood, and as such, it went for Ophelia's chest, but would take whatever it could get - if it was her arm or her leg, that suited it just as well.

Seeing a potential opening, she leapt at the monster with her makeshift club, aiming for the head with the hope of knocking the creature off balance.

She saw the glow almost as soon as she turned the corner. Another one of those creatures and this one was still alive. She didn't have a container for it, but maybe one of the pens? Sakura stayed a ways off, not sure what the other girl in the hallway might do when faced with the monster. If she could handle it, Sakura could get a sample of its blood later, but if it looked like it would be too difficult, she could always jump in and help.
Sakura turned her flashlight off, stowing it in the bag at her side, and unscrewed one of the pens, emptying the contents so it formed a thin, empty tube. Not the best, but it would work for now and she wasn't about to let the thing go to waste again.
[sakura is happy to jump in if ophelia needs a hand! Or she will just scavenge the body afterward. :3]

Coming into the next hallway, Renamon saw the fight going on and instantly slunk into the shadows nearby. She found that she wasn't the only one that had that idea.
"Sakura, right?" she asked quietly.

"Oh, yes, that's right. And... you're the girl from last night," she was kind of embarrassed that she didn't know the woman's name, but last night was a bit of a blur. Had she even said it or just Jiraiya?

She glanced over at the monster, but only briefly. Experience dictated that she wouldn't intervene in a fight unless she wanted to be the only fighter usually. And Renamon had things to do tonight. She simply wanted to check on this girl first.

Oooh, a hostile already! HK watched gleefully, wanting to see one meatbag or another go squish. It would make for good entertainment if they had to wait. HK for once stayed out of the middle of a chance to fight, keeping well away from the glowy meatbag.

Apparently not a particularly friendly relationship, since she didn't seem like she was going to get involved in the fight. He just looked at her curiously, but decided he wanted to see where this was going before getting involved.

Beatrix joined the two assassins with Ophelia in tow.
"Sorry for the delay, but she'll be useful," the Bride said with a gesture to Ophelia. "She understands the situation and, once she figures out she's not as powerful here as she thinks she is, she'll be a good warrior."
Beatrix switched to Japanese for a second as she addressed SubZero. "The bitch will at least make a good decoy if we get into a jam. I won't save her ass again. She doesn't listen to us, I will leave her behind. She's like HK in her contempt for humans, but not nearly as amusing."
Now that that was taken care of, she decided introductions were in order. "SubZero, HK-47, this is Ophelia." Her eyes moved to HK-47. "She's only half meatbag."

She eyed their traveling companions. One was extremely pale, and the other looked extremely blank as far as expression went. Ophelia wasn't used to working directly with men on missions; the men involved had always been handlers, watching from the sidelines in their black cloaks. She could foresee this expedition being more than a little bit awkward for her.
For the time being, she kept her mouth shut, not intending to speak unless she was either spoken to or thought of something very pertinent to say. Though she was more than a bit put off by Arlene likely insulting her or giving secret instructions to SubZero in a language she didn't understand.

Kvothe stepped into the main hallway, then immediately switched off his flashlight and shrank back against the wall with a muffled curse. It was the thing from the Arts and Crafts room last night. He glanced around again and moved farther away down the hall, hoping not to draw attention to himself.

When they reached the center hallway, it was clear there was already some kind of fight going on. But there were several people around to take care of it, so he didn't know if they ought to stop and help or if they'd just get in the way.

He glanced at Fai and shook his head slightly, moving to the other side of the hallway so as to slip past (hopefully) unseen. Best not to speak up, lest they attract attention from the creature, but it seemed there were enough already there to deal with it. This wasn't their fight.
