Barret certainly felt horrible, and it took him several minutes to get his bearings before bothering to move out into the hallway. He'd finished off his supper with no real enthusiasm to have his stomach satiated. The large man actually did regret his actions toward Yuffie. Haku decided that he might as well gather a bit of intel about this place, and, if he was going to be given free reign at night, he should take advantage of it.

He raided his stock of clothing, and began to tear a shirt up into strips of cloth, all different sizes. Taking a pair of pants, he used one leg to tie off the other, creating a crude, but effective sling bag. Further investigation of his room revealed pens, useful as a last resort weapon and tucked into the bag and waistband of his pants, a notebook, he would use that later, and a pair of harder shoes. The softer soles of the slippers he wore now was far preferable though. It allowed him to move far more quietly than he would have been able to in the other shoes.

A flashlight. He could use his ears and other senses to maneuver just fine in the dark, but the light could still be helpful for more delicate work and has a blunt weapon in a pinch.

Swinging the "bag" up and over so that the leg that made a strap was across his chest, Haku stepped out of his room, turning on the light long enough to memorize the number there, then headed off down the hallway.
