Oh yeah. This was bad. Grabbing a chair and ignoring the woman who had brought him in, Takaya crossed his arms and glared at the wall. He wasn't going to participate in this bullshit. Being told he had 'company' and that he should he happy about it had ruined what was otherwise an okay day

Or Brook was letting his imagination run away with him, either or.
The nurse seated him and assured that the visitor was indeed his before leaving to go about her duties. "I wonder..." Brook breathed and looked about for any sign of someone he may recognize. This was his visitor, so it stood that he'd be able to at least recognize the person, didn't it? Somehow it was exciting!

Yohan took the empty seat next to his friend without feeling the need to ask. Then he gestured at Brook's outfit with a laugh. "Look at that. They actually make those uniforms in size 'String-Bean'?"

The hat was the first giveaway - not many people wore that style normally - but when Brook saw the face he froze in place. That was who the voice belonged to? But... that was Yorki! But it couldn't be Yorki! Yorki was...! While Brook had entertained the thought that Yorki and the rest of his crew had survived their passage through the Clam Belt, were he to meet his Captain again he'd have to be at least eighty years old, if not older! The young man he was seeing couldn't be Yorki. It just couldn't ( ... )

"Don't go running away from me after I came up here to see you, damn it!" Keeping his grip on Florien's shirt, he grabbed the man's arm with his other hand - all the while keeping an eye on the nurses to make sure they didn't try an intervene. "Settle down now. Come back and sit, scrawny."

"But...! Here...! You...! You can't...!" The shrieking continued, high pitched and panicked as Brook dared give a glance over his own shoulder at the image of his friend. He flailed a bit more when another hand grabbed him and looked away. "No, let me go, let me g--!" he'd intended on panicking far more, but something stopped him - some more of that logic he was supposed to be using.
Ghosts couldn't grab people.
He did not relax, but the panic shifted over to confusion. If a ghost couldn't grab things - because everyone knew they'd only go right through things - then how was Yorki's ghost grabbing him like that? Slowly, tension easing little by little, he looked back. "Eh...?" he managed, snuffling back some tears of fright.

"There. Right. See? It's just me - your old buddy Yohan." The man readjusted his hat, having almost lost it in the dive for his friend. "So you calm back down and take a seat, or I'll start calling you your favorite nickname right in front of everyone. Don't think I won't, 'Aunt Flo.'" He lowered his voice for the last bit, a light smirk on his face.
"No ghosts here." It was sad, though, seeing his friend like this. He wanted to think it was just Florian toying around with him, but after he'd been admitted here...

"Yo... han?" he tried, face scrunching in confusion. The first letters were right, but the last three were definitely not! Not unless Yorki had gone and changed names on him! But that wasn't the only thing to consider. Who was this "Aunt Flo"? Brook recalled hearing that name a time before when he'd first heard the man's voice, but that wasn't his name. And he was certain Brook did not sound anything like "Flo"!
Trying to get things clear, Brook made a list in his mind of what he'd gathered about the situation:
1. He was being called "Flo"
2. This man's name was Yohan instead of Yorki
3. Apparently this Yohan thought he was "Flo" and therefore they were buddies
and 4. M-maybe it really was possible for ghosts to grab things! No scratch 4, that would be too scaryRight, so knowing those things ( ... )

"So come sit back down and we'll talk for a while." His tone was calmer now, less humor to his voice now that it was obvious Florian was still very much unwell. At best he wanted to be back to joking with his old friend before visiting time was up. That would be something.

All he could understand was that, by eyesight alone, he was looking at a face he'd only seen in his dreams these fifty years past.

"Well at least you're in good shape," he joked lightly. "And I was worried they might make you cut your hair or something, but I'm glad that's not the case. Flo without the 'fro is a no-go!" He laughed, even though it hadn't been the best of lines.

But that still just couldn't be!
Talk of his afro gave a focus for him though, and Brook ran after it both to keep his mind from thinking too much on the possibility that this somehow really was Yorki, and because he'd been given a bit of a concern regarding his hair.
"Make me?!" he yelped, hands going up to each side of his afro, "I would like to see them try!" If anyone so much as laid a little pinky on his afro with the intent to harm it, Brook would defend it to the ends of the Earth and then some!

"I'd like to see that too," he chuckled. "Well, not in the sense of them trying to cut it as much as the spectacle it would cause." Yohan grinned. "As it should cause. But thankfully it's as bushy as ever."
Reply
"It would be a spectacle quickly concluded, I assure you!" As Hell hath no fury like a skeleton defending his hair! Or something like that... "But it's not the people here who are the biggest threats to it, you realize? No, there was this tree outside - terrible thing! - that tried to take it away! Can you imagine?! I'd never thought that a tree could hate hair so much!"
Perhaps Brook was not making a whole lot of sense, but babbling was just something he did, and something he did an awful lot of when he did not understand what was going on. Focusing on hair and what trees did to them was just his way of dealing with what had quickly become a strange situation. He still had no answer for why he was "Flo" or why this person was even here, but talking was the best way to determine things! And... admittedly... he was kind of having fun for it.

"Damn trees," he choked out between guffaws. "Hope you taught it a lesson!"

The laugh was a bit odd, sorta pirate sounding, and it was hard to tell if it was really a laugh or a play on his name. Either way, he was glad enough for Flo's current attitude that he wasn't going to bring it up. "Trees are tricksy things," he chuckled. "You may have to get some others together and gang up on it."
